Wild Kids Academy

🇺🇸From the USA to the Zambezi! We were honored to welcome a team of student investigators from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) to WildKids Academy!

🤝🏾 Ciaran, Oliver, Alessia, and Ivan are collaborating with our partner EduVentures on a vital mission: the Freshwater Initiative Project. Their research explores how our community interacts with the river to improve environmental education and sustainable practices. They got so much involved with our learners that they ended up challenging each other on a chess board!!

🚤 We are working together on the “Zambezi Boat Class” concept, a dream to turn the river into a floating classroom where nature is the primary teacher.

🤩 This international exchange isn’t just about research; it’s about building a global network of conservation leaders.

🙏🏽 We are grateful, honored and proud!

🤩 Incredible results from the WKA Chess Club at the National Championships in Swakopmund!

💪🏽 Alexander Silva got a silver medal while Samantha, Grace, Ashton and Vincent missed the podium for a couple of points!

♟️ They all did extremely well and we are so proud and grateful to our chess coach Mr Reyeen! Keep it up!

♟️ Our Wild Kids Chess Academy players and one from Great Achievers all the way down to Swakopmund for the Namibia Schools Individuals Closed Chess Championships, representing the Zambezi Region!

🧦 Today, at our socks do not match and that is exactly how it should be!!

🌈 To celebrate the World Down Syndrome Day (the 21st of March) we are rocking the “Lots of Socks” initiative to embrace the beauty of human diversity!

🤗 Inclusion should be a daily practice of celebrating everyone’s uniqueness!

🙏🏽 Thanks parents for having supported this initiative making it fun and colorful!

🤩 We had the privilege to participate in the Spelling Bee Challenge organized by Great Achievers Academy today!

🐝 Great results for our representative learners who competed with enthusiasm and confidence!

👏🏽 Well done to the organizers and well done to our teachers!! Keep it up!!

🏃The Inter School Athletics Games 2026 end yesterday and saw Wild Kids winning and keeping the trophy again!

💪🏽 An incredible results this year as well from all our little athletes! Well done you always make us proud!

🙏🏽A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff for making the interschool athletics a success. Your effort, energy, cheering and motivation (even running alongside our learners) did not go unnoticed.

💚 Because of the dedication of everyone involved, this event was another success! Thanks again!

🏃‍♀️What a fantastic day at our Interhouse Athletics Games! The field was filled with energy, determination, teamwork, and plenty of school spirit. Every house gave it their all, cheering loudly and competing with pride.

🎉 Congratulations to Springbok House for taking the win! And well done to all our athletes for their effort, sportsmanship, and perseverance

💪🏽 Wild Kids Academy was proud to host representatives from EduVentures for an inspiring engagement on strengthening Environmental and Sustainability Education in our region.

💚 We explored conservation-based and experiential learning, and how schools can actively contribute to protecting ecosystems while building strong academic foundations.

🐠 A key highlight was the proposed Classroom Boat Initiative — a mobile learning platform that will allow learners in the Zambezi and Kavango Regions to study river ecosystems, biodiversity, and sustainable fisheries directly on the water.

🗞️ In our first newspaper edition, we dedicated a full article to the incredible event of having had a lion in the neighborhood!

🦁 Bright and Brionna visited the Ministry of Environment and, with the guidance of the Regional Officer Mr. Sitwala, they discovered many interesting information and details for the entire school!

👏🏽 Through open discussion, questions, and the expert insight, we learned how habitat loss and climate change can bring animals closer to human space.

🌍We appreciate and recognize the privilege of living where nature knocks on our door!

🙏🏼 A huge thanks to the Ministry of Environment that open the doors to us! And thanks of course to our environmental department for having investigated, explored and reported the event as a proper journalists!

♟️The chess season started today for us with the First Regional Tournament of the yeah!

🤩 Great satisfaction for the WKA Chess Club that placed its player in the top 3 of every category!!

🙏🏼 Thanks to the organizers and to our coach for this incredible success!

✨ As part of our Kindness in Motion initiative, Wild Kids Academy supported a Grade 12 learner at CSSS whose school supplies were damaged by recent floods.

🧡 This first social responsibility action was selected and led by our teachers, showing kindness where it was most needed.

📚 By reaching out beyond the school, the teachers also involved CKP Stationers, who generously contributed a backpack, calculator and pencil case. Together with stationery donated by Wild Kids Academy, Aldenia is now fully equipped to continue her studies with confidence.
