Hello, My name is Valdevez Angelina Duave, as known as Grayson Valdevez Duave, you are here to brush up your English skills. Read the following tips and tricks to improve your English effortlessly.
You cannot learn a second language in two weeks. In fact, it is a long process that takes a great deal of time and patience. The good news is that your language skills are continually improving. Here are a few tips to speed up the process.
➡ Identify your goals
Different people learn English for different reasons. Some people learn English to improve their job prospects. Others are more interested in being able to communicate with people from other parts of the world. What is your reason? Identify your objectives early and choose appropriate learning materials.
Remember that learning is a continuous process. You have to make it a part of your everyday routine. Learn at least a few words every day. Read, listen or write something in English.
➡ Read English newspapers.
Subscribe to English newspapers and magazines and read them. Newspapers have well written articles in contemporary English. The best thing about reading a newspaper is that it improves your vocabulary and overall English skills.
➡ Watch English TV programs.
Listen to English radios and TV programs. They will significantly improve your listening skills. A major problem that many English learners face is an inability to understand native English speakers. Part of this problem can be solved by listening to English TV and radio programs. If you live in a country where you get an opportunity to interact with native English speakers on a regular basis, you will probably not have to work too hard on improving your listening skills as you will pick up those skills automatically.
Spend at least 10 minutes each day in learning English. It is better than studying for two or three hours once a week.
➡ Focus on practical English usage.
Don't just study grammar. Instead, focus on practical English usage. Grammar is useless if you do not know how to use it. Remember that the purpose of learning a language is being able to communicate in it. So practice every language skill you have learned. When choosing reading and listening materials opt for those topics you are interested in.
➡ Be patient!
Be patient with yourself. Don't expect to make quick progresses. Learning a language takes time. So don't feel discouraged if you are taking longer than you would like to. Some people acquire language skills faster. Others might need more time.
Communicate! Your English skills will automatically improve if you use the language whenever you get an opportunity. Speak English with your friends and family members. Make friends with people from different parts of the world and communicate with them using emails. Do English grammar exercises. All of these will speed up the process of learning.
Use resources available on the internet. Over the years the internet has grown into the most exciting and unlimited source of English learning materials. Make good use of them
