We celebrate 69 years of independence and the beautiful spirit that makes Malaysia home ❤️💙💛🤍.

🎉 Merdeka & August Birthday Celebration! 🎂✨

August was extra special at Aaira as we celebrated Malaysia's Independence Day together with our little ones and of course, our August birthday stars! 💙❤️💛🤍

We started the celebration with some Merdeka-themed Art & Craft 🎨, followed by one of the most exciting parts of the day...

👗♻️ Fashion Parade: Recycle Edition! ♻️✨
Our children came dressed in creative outfits made from recycled materials, and WOW our parents really brought their creativity game! 😂👏

A huge thank you to all the parents for putting in so much effort, time, and creativity to make the outfits. We loved seeing the children's excitement while showing off their creations! 💛

Then it was time to celebrate our August birthday boys! 🎂🎈

Thank you to all parents for bringing delicious food for everyone to enjoy together and thoughtful goodies to share with our children. Your generosity made the celebration even more special! 🥰

A Little Trip Through Malaysia's History.
Our teachers also took the children on a simple and fun journey through Malaysia's history, introducing them to the Jalur Gemilang and learning about our Prime Ministers from the beginning until today. 📚✨

And what's a celebration without some singing? 🎶❤️
We ended the day by singing "Aku Berjanji" by Faizal Tahir and, of course, the classic "31 Ogos" together! 🇲🇾🎤

Through celebrations like this, we hope our children not only have fun but also learn to appreciate our country's history, culture, unity, and the meaning behind Merdeka. 🌈

"Is a Child Psychologist the same as an Occupational Therapist?" 🤔

Not quite but both play an important role in supporting a child's development.

🧠 A Child Psychologist focuses on understanding a child's thoughts, emotions, behaviour, and mental well-being. They can provide assessments and help families better understand their child's emotional and developmental needs.

✋ An Occupational Therapist (OT) focuses on helping children develop the practical skills they need for everyday life, such as dressing, writing, playing, eating, coordination, and managing sensory experiences.

Although their roles are different, they often work together to provide holistic support for a child's growth and development.

Every child is unique, and the right support starts with understanding their individual needs. 💛

👄🥢 Class Activity: Lip Puckering & Pencil Balance! ✨

Who knew making a funny face could be part of learning? 😂💛

In today's activity, our students practised lip puckering while working on their pencil balance, combining oral-motor practice with focus, coordination, and body control.

It may look simple, but these little exercises can help children develop important skills such as:

👄 Oral-motor control – supporting movements needed for clearer speech and eating
🎯 Focus & concentration – staying attentive to complete the task
🤲 Coordination & control – coordinating different movements together
💪 Muscle awareness – becoming more aware of how they control their mouth and body
🌟 Confidence – practising new skills in a fun, supportive environment

And of course... there were plenty of funny faces along the way! 🤭😂

At Aaira, we believe learning doesn't always have to look serious. Sometimes, a little puckering, balancing, and laughter can be part of meaningful learning too! 🌈
