FIRST PTA(PIBG) MEETING
APRIL 14, 2022 - Praise the Lord, the first PTA(PIBG) meeting was successfully held in SASS’ Pride Hall on this day. The PTA Chairman Mr George Teo, Principal Mr Alben Rotop, PTA Secretary Teacher Rosnani Adnan and SASS teachers welcomed 108 parents, where 37 parents attended physically while another 72 parents attended through live Zoom meeting.

Welcoming and report on the school progress and other school matters were presented by the chairman and the principal. After the presentation, parent representing the classes from Form 1 to Form 5 were elected to encourage an efficient communication between the school and the parents. Below are the parent representatives for each classes as elected;

Form 1 - Mr Melborne Gabil
Form 2 - Ms Liviawarty Jamal
Form 3 - Mr Julius Rubie
Form 4 - Pr WIlter Asin
Form 5 - Ms Monica Abok

After the election of parent representative for classes, the floor was opened for any questions and concerns to be discussed and clarified. It was a delight and we are deeply grateful to witness the sincere involvements and concerns of the parents towards not only the well being of their children but also to the school as a whole. We are encouraged and will strive to do even better for our children and school. Thank you to everyone who came to support us and also for your kind concern, encouragements and sincere prayers for our students and teachers. We pray that our unity as parents and teachers will strengthen as we move forward to provide the best Adventist Education for our children/students.

BANTUAN AWAL PERSEKOLAHAN
Bantuan Awal Persekolahan (BAP) yang mula diperkenalkan pada tahun 2012 adalah dengan tujuan untuk meringankan beban perbelanjaan persekolahan anak-anak yang ditanggung oleh ibu bapa atau penjaga terutamanya pada awal tahun sesi persekolahan.

Seramai 213 pelajar SMAT yang layak telah menerima bantuan ini pada 14 April, 2022(Khamis). Kita bersyukur dan kita memuji nama Tuhan atas berkat yang telah anak-anak kita terima. Semoga berkat ini sedikit sebanyak boleh membantu dalam meringankan beban perbelanjaan persekolahan mereka. Amen.

HEALTH TALK
APRIL 14, 2022 - SASS welcomes back the visit of the Tamparuli Health Department on the occasion of spreading health awareness to the students in Form 1, Form 3 and Form 4. We are always happy and appreciative for their visits every year, unfortunately as the pandemic hits, it came to a halt. However, with God’s grace, finally we are able to resume the important visit and health talks that the health department has annually prepared to spread health awareness among our students.

The main topics that were presented during the health talk program is as below;

8am - 9am Form 1 - Topic: Human Papillomavirus(HPV) & Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

9am - 10am Form 3 - Topic: Tetanus

10am - 11am Form 4 - Topic: Thalassaemia

The health officers and students had an insightful interaction throughout the program. We hope that these talks will continue to ensure that our students will develop and accept a healthy lifestyle.

1. To raise repairs fund for school cafeteria and canteen.
2. To raise fund for students in need.
3. To commemorate Malaysia Day.
4. To foster a spirit of patriotism among students.
5. To encourage and promote society with a healthy lifestyle.
6. To practice a new virtual lifestyle.

Invitation open to everyone to register and join the virtual run which will start on October 7th 2021 and will last till December 7th 2021 organized by Sabah Adventist Secondary School/Sekolah Menengah Advent Tamparuli.

LATEST UPDATE:
Runners/participants can now choose options to run, walk or CYCLE to complete the registered kilometers.

Every registration received will help in the objectives as stated above.

Ribuan terima kasih kami ucapkan kepada semua yang telah menyertai SASS Virtual Run 2021. Sumbangan anda amat kami hargai.

Bermula hari ini, postage ‘finisher item’ akan dipos. Peserta juga boleh mengambil sendiri(self-collect) ‘finisher item’ tersebut. Sila hubungi Arviana (0138613766) sebelum mengambil ‘finisher item’ dan jika ada sebarang pertanyaan.

Penghantaran rekod larian masih terbuka untuk sesiapa yang belum menyiapkan larian dan yang ingin menghantar.
Sebarang maklumat lanjut yang berkaitan akan diumumkan kelak.

Berikut adalah mengenai 'finisher item' larian yang sepatutnya diberikan pada tarikh 1 July. Dukacita diumumkan, situasi Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) yang masih berkuatkuasa telah menyebabkan penangguhan penghantaran 'finisher item' ini.
