Our job as a trained facilitator is to watch for our horses to notice that change and take that moment as a teaching opportunity for the participant to recognize something that they may not have even noticed about themselves by asking them open ended questions.

It's not about the right or wrong, it's about people having the answers to their own questions. And the horse allows them to dig deep into those places to actually bring out those answers for themselves. And it's phenomenal how it works.

In this specific equine industry it is not just about loving the idea of being with horses, it's about understanding who the horse is as they can only think act and respond like a horse - not a human.

Horses don't have a prefrontal cortex as humans do. They don't have the same ability to focus one's attention, predict the consequences of one's actions or anticipate events in the environment.
To use impulse control; manage emotional reactions, plan for the future or coordinate and adjust complex behaviours (“I can't do A until B happens”).

A horse can only think and act like a horse. So what does that mean to you when working with them?
