Huge congratulations to our final year PhD candidate Uganeeswary Suparmaniam, supervised by Ts. Dr. Lam Man Kee, for winning the Outstanding Student Award in the ICWES-POCER and IAHR Malaysia Award 2024! Sharing of research attachment experiences by our postgraduate students, Wan Nur Aisyah and Wan Nur Athirah, at France.

We had an opportunity to perform research attachment at IMT Mines Albi, fully funded by Erasmus+ Programme. We felt so lucky to be placed under the supervision of Prof. Fabienne Espitalier and Dr. Marine Dagdinac, who are very helpful and give us a lot of knowledges on crystallization method, especially on the analysis of metastable zone width of glycerol using Crystal16 equipment. Initially, we thought that we would have difficulties adjusting to a new environment that are totally different from UTP and Malaysia. But, we found ourselves fitting into the new circle and totally can adapt with the changes. It has been a challenging yet enlightening period researching in RAPSODEE center. All of the members were very welcoming and always help us to ease our journey in Albi, France. In a nutshell, this research attachment programme had been one of our best experience in our PhD journey, and we will always remember each and every moment of it. Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation goes to IMT Mines Albi for being such an accomodating host university and for the generous financial support through Erasmus+ Programme. In addition, a very special thanks to HICoE-Centre for Biofuel & Biochemical Research, UTP, UTP Centre for Student Development and Universiti Teknologi Petronas - Main Page for the network and linkage to IMT Mines Albi.
