Simple Present Tense (Worksheets)

The simple present tense is used to talk about things that happen regularly, daily routines, and general facts. It is one of the most important tenses in English because we use it in everyday communication.

For example, we use the simple present to describe habits such as “I wake up early” or “She studies every night.” We also use it for things that are always true, like “The sun rises in the east” or “Water boils at 100°C.”

In the simple present tense, the verb usually stays in its basic form. However, when the subject is he, she, or it, we add -s or -es to the verb. For example, “He plays football” and “She watches TV.” This is called subject-verb agreement.

This worksheet is designed to help students understand how to use the simple present tense correctly. Students will practise forming sentences, choosing the correct verb forms, and using the tense in the right situations.
