Meet Yu Shern, Anish, and Soham, our who won 𝟐𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 at the Lockheed Martin Code Quest 2026! 🚀

After going head-to-head with 34 teams from across Singapore and Australia, Team Green impressed with their coding skills, problem-solving and teamwork. 💻🌏

The competition may have taken place earlier this year, but now that their trophy has finally arrived at Coding Lab, we had the perfect excuse to bring the team back together and hear more about their experience! 👀

For the first time, PISA 2025 assessed Computational Problem Solving, looking at how students use computational thinking and digital tools to tackle complex, real-world problems. More than half of Singapore students were top performers in this new domain, compared to around a quarter across OECD countries on average!

But what does computational thinking actually look like? At Coding Lab, we break it down into four key skills: Decomposition, Abstraction, Pattern Recognition, and Algorithms. These skills form the foundation of how our students approach coding and problem-solving.

Whether they are building a game, exploring AI, or solving a real-world challenge, students learn that coding is about more than writing code. It is about learning how to think, solve, and create. 🚀

In this episode of Coding Bytes, we’re turning essential computer skills into a fun challenge! Your child will complete their very own 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲-𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵, while picking up useful Scratch and browser skills along the way. 🍎⁣

We still remember when our 𝗬𝘂 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻, 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺 represented Singapore at the 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 and brought home an incredible 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 on the international stage! 🇸🇬

But getting here was never easy.

Behind this trophy were 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲, challenging problems, moments of being stuck, and plenty of dedication. Through it all, they kept thinking, coding and pushing forward together. 🚀

Now, seeing them finally hold the trophy makes the journey feel even more special.
