SPAA Living Skills | Travel Ready: Pack Smart, Folding & Ironing Clothes

Students stepped into a practical and empowering lesson — learning how to pack smart, fold neatly, and iron their clothes. With guidance from our supervisors, each student discovered the importance of being organised, prepared, and responsible for their own belongings.

This is more than just a travel skill. It’s about building independence, confidence, and readiness for real-life experiences — whether for personal trips, family travels, or important events like the Regional Students Convention (RSC).

We believe this is a skill that would surely make every parent proud — seeing their child ready, capable, and responsible.

Keep growing, keep learning — one life skill at a time.

SPAA Living Skills | Gift Wrapping

Our Living Skills journey continues as students learned the art of gift wrapping — measuring, folding, and presenting with care and creativity. Guided by our supervisors, every student had the opportunity to turn a simple item into something thoughtful and meaningful.

Beyond the skill itself, students discovered the value of attention to detail, patience, and giving with intention. Sometimes, it’s not just the gift, but the effort and love behind it that truly matters.

Something for us to ponder...
Who can you bless this week?
Perhaps a neatly wrapped gift for a family member, a friend’s birthday, or a simple token of appreciation — because small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

SPAA Living Skills | Making Wanton (Dumplings)

After mastering pancakes, our students took their learning a step further. Diving into the art of making wanton (dumplings). Guided by our supervisors, they carefully filled, folded, and shaped each piece with focus and creativity.

This session introduced students to new techniques, while strengthening fine motor skills, patience, and attention to detail. More importantly, it was a time of shared learning, laughter, and teamwork.

From sweet to savoury, each Living Skills session continues to build confidence and life-ready skills — one hands-on experience at a time.

VLC & Kindergarten ECA | Fun Educational Visit

Our VLC & Kindergarten students had a meaningful and eye-opening educational visit to KMI Medical Center Tawau last Saturday.

During the visit, students were introduced to the environment of a medical centre — learning about healthcare services and the roles of medical professionals. It was a valuable opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. Many of our curent VLC students were born right here. Making this visit even more special and personal.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to KMI for warmly hosting our students, for the insightful sharing, and for their generous gifts. We also deeply appreciate all the medical workers who faithfully serve and care for the Tawau community.

Experiences like these inspire curiosity, build awareness, and open young minds to future possibilities.

PLC ECA | Art of Laser Cutting

Our PLC students had an exciting opportunity to explore the Art of Laser Cutting during last Saturday's ECA at Kolej Komuniti Tawau.

Through this hands-on experience, students were introduced to the fusion of technology, creativity, and precision. Learning how designs can be transformed into real-life creations. It was a valuable exposure that sparked curiosity, problem-solving, and innovation.

Beyond the technical skills, this session encouraged students to step out, explore new learning environments, and gain confidence in applying knowledge beyond the classroom.

Learning is limitless and the future is full of possibilities.
