The founder of this school, Rev.Father Stotter, was a priest sent by the St. Joseph's Foreign Missionary Mill Hill Society. It's first Headmaster and Priest Headmaster were Stephen Sim Kee Hong(1922-1929) and Rev. Father A.McCarthy, respectively. Father Mualder replace Rev.Father A.Mc.Carthy and was in charge of the school until he was captured and imprisoned by the Japanese army at Kuching Prison in 1945. The school and the church were destroyed by the Japanese during World War II and restored in 1945, after the return of Rev.Father Mualders. At that time, the reconstruction of the school was an almost impossible task due to the insufficient materials. Father Mualders decided to use materials from a former home of an European named Darret and when from that he managed to finished building a temporary school and named it "Darret House". On February 1946, the school became an official school with 46 students which is then divided into 4 classes. Father took 2 class (Class 3 and 4) for himself leaving 2 other classes to other teachers. Father Maulders lived with 6 housemates at the Darret house and used his free time after school to add more classrooms from the woods around the school. A plantation manager from Table Plantation also donated some woods to the school. During the 2nd Semester's Holiday(June/July) 1946, they managed to add four more additional classrooms before the 3rd Semester. On the 3rd Semester(July 1946), the number of students reached 100 students. Most of the students were chinese. 15 of them were Malay and 6 of them were Indian. By 1947, Holy Trinity school have 8 class, 5 were English class and 3 were Chinese class. Father Maulders was replaced in February 1949 and the number of students increased to 150 students.
