The Malaysian Music Journal (MMJ) is a fully peer-reviewed academic journal that highlights music scholarship and related activities with a particular focus on the ASEAN region. It is a forum for music scholars who wish to share their research of musical issues. While the journal is based in Malaysia, articles with a broad global focus are welcome. We invite submissions of original articles from a

wide spectrum of research areas, which may include multiple areas of musicology, music education, performance, ethnography, composition, music technology, sound art, indigenous music and cultural studies.
