IGB International School (IGBIS) is a premier Early Years to Grade 12 international school. Situated at Sierramas and Valencia, in the north-west of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, IGBIS is an IB World School authorised for the IB Diploma Programme. IGBIS is a candidate school* for both the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and the Middle Years Programme. It also provide extensive progra

mmes for parents and the broader community in sports, the arts, and continuing education. These programmes will be conducted after school, evenings, weekends and during the school holidays, making use of the outstanding facilities at IGBIS. The school is well connected by the North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP) and Middle Ring Road (MRR2), making it readily accessible from all parts of the city. Coming from Bangsar and Damansara will take approximately 20 minutes, and even less from the Mont Kiara area. Our school is very close to the railway station for the KTM Komuter’s Rawang-Seremban Route and the future Sungai Buloh MRT station adjacent to the school grounds.

*Only schools authorised by the IB Organization can offer any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme (and in addition the IB Career-related Programme).

During the IEAP Grade 6 Transition Rise-Up Day, students had the opportunity to explore what life in Grade 6 is all about through interactive activities, collaborative challenges, wellbeing sessions, and conversations with their peers and teachers.

Most importantly, they discovered that new beginnings can feel welcoming, empowering, and full of possibilities.

🏆 AIMS Champions

Our girls’ volleyball team finished the season with 5 wins and an AIMS Championship title — a true reflection of their teamwork, resilience, and determination throughout the season.

With every match, they continued to grow stronger together, earning a well-deserved championship victory and making the Phoenix community proud.

The Phoenix at AIMS X-Country last week!

Despite injuries and a thin roster, our athletes showed resilience, focus, and determination from start to finish.

A special congratulations to Kay for winning in the G7 U13 Girls category with a calm, controlled, and confident race — a true reflection of months of hard work and dedication.

Well done as well to Alfie (U9) and Jun Kai (U11) for their strong performances, finishing 9th and 12th while running with composure and heart.

We are proud to see our students wear the Phoenix and rise to every challenge.

Stepping into the MYP world with curiosity, confidence, and plenty of excitement ✨

During Rise-Up Week, our Grade 5 students explored what life in MYP is all about, from science labs and hands-on maths to designing wooden robots, scavenger hunts, wellbeing sessions, and conversations with our Grade 6 “experts.”

Most importantly, they discovered that new beginnings can feel exciting, welcoming, and full of possibilities.

Our Grade 1 students recently spent time with our in-house author, Ms Rosalinda Lima, learning how real-life experiences can inspire children's stories and illustrations.

They explored African culture, the role of women in Angolan families, discussed the power of language, and even learned a few Portuguese words along the way.

It was lovely to see their curiosity, excitement, and confidence grow throughout the session.
