🧮 Learning through play, the K1/K2 way! 🫘
In our classroom, math isn’t something we memorise — it’s something we *touch, build, and play with*. Every station you see in this video is carefully designed so that children feel like they’re playing a game while building rock-solid number foundations.
Here’s what our little mathematicians are exploring:
🔹 Abacus – for smooth counting on and backward counting, one bead at a time
🔹 Red beans counting by 10s – grouping 10s until we reach the big 100; the start of place value understanding
🔹 Domino mix & match – a playful way to sharpen subitising and number recognition
🔹 Make 10 & break 10 manipulatives – the hands-on secret to mastering number bonds
The best part? The excitement and pride on their faces say it all. When children play, they learn — and when they learn this way, they never forget ❤️
