Join us for a meaningful Meet and Greet session with ODL students and alumni from Sunway Business School (SBS), Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), and School of Education (SOE).

This session is designed to reconnect our community, encourage networking, and provide an opportunity to engage with fellow students, alumni, academic staff, and industry representatives.

Congratulations to our graduate from the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence (SCAI), Bachelor of Software Engineering (Hons) - Chong Jun Wei - for successfully passing the ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification examination and being awarded the ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification by the Malaysian Software Testing Board (MSTB).

The ISTQB CTFL certification is a cornerstone qualification that provides essential software testing knowledge applicable to real-world scenarios. The syllabus offers a comprehensive understanding of the terminology and core concepts used in the global testing domain, making it relevant across various software delivery approaches and practices, including Waterfall, Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Delivery.

Special appreciation is extended to Prof. Ts. Lee Yun Li from the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) for her guidance and mentorship in supporting this remarkable achievement.

Introducing this week's "FET Academic of the Week", Dr Chin Teck Min from School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence.

Dr Chin Teck Min received his PhD in Computer Science from Lancaster University, United Kingdom in 2016. He currently serves as Programme Leader for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science.

In this week’s "Researcher of the Week", we introduce Dr Chew Moi Tin from Department of Smart Computing and Cyber Resilience, School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence.

Dr Chew's recent publications focus on applying algorithms and machine-learning classifiers to improve a robot's positioning and tracking accuracy. Robot navigation is vital across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and retail.

Sunway University Deputy Deans Prof. Dr Angela Lee Siew Hoong from Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Sunway University and Dr Stella Ong from Sunway Business School, both graduated from Digital Leadership Excellence Programme on 11 May 2026. The 4-months journey reflects the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration in shaping future digital leaders. An inspiring journey of digital transformation, leadership, collaboration, and lifelong learning.

Prof Angela Lee and Dr Stella Ong had the privilege of learning, networking, and engaging with 126 leaders across industries and institutions. They are truly honoured to be among the 300 Malaysians selected to join this prestigious programme.

Beyond personal learning, the DLE experience strengthens Sunway University’s commitment towards graduate employability & industry engagement. The connections established with leaders across sectors create valuable opportunities for future internships, industry projects, mentorships, collaborative research, and stronger academia-industry networks that will continue to benefit our students and graduates.
