Sri Kuala Lumpur International School Wind Orchestra

🎶 On 29 May 2026, a group of committee members from the Sri Kuala Lumpur School Wind Band had the wonderful opportunity to visit Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP) at KLCC.

During the visit, our members experienced the grandeur of the iconic DFP Hall and met with the hall's management team to learn more about its rules and regulations.

Our School Wind Band 🎺🥁 delivered lively performances of two popular pieces 🎶 — the energetic Megalovania ⚡ and the timeless classic Can’t Take My Eyes Off You ❤️.

Over the past few days, the Sri Kuala Lumpur School Band successfully held its Annual Band Camp from 18th to 20th March 2026 🎶. Throughout the three days, members embarked on an exciting and productive musical journey 🎺, filled with learning 📚, teamwork 🤝, and unforgettable experiences ✨.

During this Band Camp, our members worked tirelessly on our instruments🔥, pushing ourselves as we prepared for the events ahead. With the guidance of our wonderful tutors 💖, each section stayed focused and grew into more confident and skilful musicians 🎶✨. We are also extremely grateful to our band director, Mr Wan Heng Kai 🙌, whose dedication and passion continuously elevated our music throughout the camp 🎵.

Other than hours of practice 🎶, our Band Committees also organised captivating games in the late evenings 🌙, giving members time to relax, bond, and strengthen both friendships and team spirit 💫. We also held a Brass Washing session for our brass members, ensuring their instruments stayed in top condition and were always ready to create beautiful melodies 🎺✨
This Band Camp has left an unforgettable melody in all our hearts ❤️, and we can’t wait to showcase the results of our hard work very soon 🎼

On 24 January, the Sri Kuala Lumpur Wind Orchestra was honoured to perform at Hextar World at Empire City. In celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year, we proudly shared our music and festive spirit with the crowd as we marched along the High Street. 🧧🎶

🛫Beijing Tour 🇨🇳

From 30th November to 9th December, our Sri Kuala Lumpur International Secondary School Wind Orchestra embarked on its long-awaited annual band tour to Beijing, hearts filled with excitement and anticipation. ✈️🎶🇨🇳

During this 10-day, 8-night tour ✈️🗓️,
the band had the great honour of engaging in exchange programmes with several esteemed schools 🎓🎶, including Beijing Progress Primary School, The High School Affiliated to China Agricultural University, Beijing Fengtai No. 2 High School, and Beijing No. 12 High School.

These meaningful visits provided invaluable opportunities to foster cultural exchange 🌏🤝 and to build lasting international friendships through music 🎵💖.

The tour not only allowed us to make new friends 🤝🌏, but also gave our band members countless opportunities to strengthen our bonds 💪🎶 and create treasured experiences 💖✨. Throughout this journey, we grew closer as a band, sharing unforgettable moments and making memories that will last a lifetime 🎵📸🌟.

💫Aeternus, Musical Memories✨️

The band proudly held its 9th Annual Band Concert, Aeternus, on 29 November 2025. 🎶✨

From the very first note, the performers were fully locked in, the crowd was electrified 🔥, and the music filled the hall with unstoppable energy.

It was a night to remember,
every band member shone brilliantly on stage, giving their all from start to finish. 🌟🎺💫
Truly, Aeternus will live on in our hearts forever.

We would like to express our immense appreciation to our band director🪄, Mr. Wan, our teachers-in-charge, our dedicated student helpers, and everyone who played a part in making this concert possible. 💖

And of course, a special shoutout to our dearest band members 🎺,your months of hard work, perseverance, and passion have truly brought this concert to life. 💪🎶
