Hey all ! We're back to our regular meetings~ This week, we're diving into two captivating short stories that explore themes like societal norms, sacrifice, and the individual's struggle against oppressive systems.

1️⃣ "The One Who Walks Away from Omelas" by Ursula K. Le Guin: The author presents us with a utopian city called Omelas, where everyone lives in perfect harmony. To maintain this idyllic existence however, one child must suffer. Delve into the moral dilemma and philosophical questions raised by this powerful story.

2️⃣ "The Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman: Prepare for a haunting narrative. Through the eyes of an unnamed protagonist, we witness her descent into madness as she becomes increasingly obsessed with the patterns in the yellow wallpaper of her room. This chilling tale explores themes of gender roles, mental health, and the repression of women in society.
