Pharmacy vs. Pharmaceutical Chemistry… Sounds the same, but actually different! 💊 🔬
We got two IMU University students to weigh in on Pharmacy vs. Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
✨ Pharmacy
Pharmacy focuses on becoming medication experts to deliver tailored, effective, and safe medications for patient care. After graduation, registered pharmacists can work in hospitals, community pharmacies, pharmaceutical industries, academic research, and regulatory affairs to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.
✨ Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Pharmaceutical Chemistry focuses on drug discovery, chemical design, quality control, and pharmaceutical product launch. Pharmaceutical Chemistry graduates typically work "behind the scenes" in pharmaceutical labs, manufacturing, and research and development (R&D).
