We were at Celebrating Aldona, held at the Aldona Institute this Saturday. Got a chance to showcase and share the growing body of work that we have created for WagTales Imprints - publishing beyond the bookshelf. With our posters, story-lamp for children afraid of the dark, that folds into a night lamp, a poem that empowers children available as a sticker, a story bedcover for night time storytime.

The Adventures of Coco-narl - a day long creative immersion that carries participants and their imagination on the trail of a nutcase stuntman in a fibre suit 🥥 A roller-coaster narrative that weaves through the entire day of activities. As Coco-narl bounces (a game of coco-rugby) and floats on the ocean currents (our swimming pool with some imagination) braving storms and whales (a funner version of wizards and demons). Reaching new lands and newer adventures (pretend play and more fun games). Running, jumping, singing, dancing, making friends, getting into crafty hands and fashion shows, and even a music band (craft activities). Also getting scraped (prepping for the meal) and landing in a delicious curry (cooking the meal), and then on a plate (relishing the actual meal). You've never met a stuntman like Coco-narl.

Participants will leave exhausted, with fun memories, a farm-fresh hamper and a new awe-spective on the coconut.

This time, it was a small corner at Celebrating Aldona helmed by Cecil Pinto at Aldona Institute. Where, from amongst the crowd, the children were drawn to us. To make, draw, listen to stories, tell their own, and try out a few musical instruments.

And it was all good.
