Monday Year 10 Chemistry Lesson

Teacher C: "Most metal oxide is a base, which can only react with acid."

"But, there is a special metal oxide - aluminium oxide - it is not a basic oxide, instead it is an amphoteric oxide.... Do you know the meaning of AMPHOTERIC?"

(............pin drop silence..........)

Teacher C asked again: "Just try! Guess the meaning of AMPHOTERIC!"

Studentn Z: "I know, it's AMPHIBIAN!"
