A group of students from the Bachelor of International Events Management (BIEM) recently had the opportunity to be part of The Great South Youth International Fashion Week 2026, held on 22–23 August 2026 at New Ocean World, Petaling Jaya.

Taylor’s Students Shine at Malaysia Business Events Challenge 2026

A proud moment for our Bachelor of International Events Management (Hons.) students at the Malaysia Business Events Challenge 2026, organised by the Malaysian Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (MACEOS). This year’s challenge brought together 9 teams from 4 universities, giving students the opportunity to put their ideas, creativity and presentation skills to the test.

We are proud to see two teams from Taylor's University walk away with an achievement!

🥉 T3-LAB Events — Asiri Rimas, Chong Yan Lam & Ikeda Myu, mentored by Dr Khairiah Ismail, received the Merit Award (Top 3).

✨ Just Do It — Goh Yyshann, Soo Si Xuan, Low En Yue & Justin Chai Chi Yang, mentored by Miss Dhiya Hikmahana, received the Best PowerPoint Presentation Award.

Winning is always something to aim for, but competitions like this are about more than the awards. It is the exposure, the challenge of meeting real industry expectations, and the opportunity to present and receive feedback from industry professionals that make the experience valuable.

These are the experiences that help our students grow, build confidence and become better future event professionals.

Congratulations to both teams! Keep challenging yourselves and keep growing.
