🐦💥 Angry Birds came alive on stage today!

When Fang Yao sat at the piano, he wasn’t just playing the notes — he was telling a story.

Every rhythm felt like a bird taking flight.
Every staccato felt like a powerful impact.
Every phrase carried energy, determination and excitement.

For a moment, we could almost see the Angry Birds flying across the hall. 🐦💨💥

During Music For All 2026, we witnessed a young musician perform with confidence, focus and imagination.

At Aptitudio, we believe music is not only about playing the right notes, but also about bringing a story to life.

🎨 One activity, many learning opportunities. 🌈

Today, our creators explored emotions through a simple but meaningful art activity.

Along the way, they were developing:

❤️ Emotional awareness – recognising different feelings

😊 Facial expression recognition – observing how emotions look on our faces

🌟 Decision-making skills – choosing colours, expressions, and creative ideas

🎨 Creativity – expressing thoughts and feelings in their own unique way

✋ Fine motor skills – colouring, cutting, assembling, and manipulating small materials

What may look like a simple craft activity is actually a colourful journey of emotions, choices, creativity, and growth.

Most importantly, our children discovered that emotions come in many colours, and every feeling deserves to be understood.

🎹🎸 Perhaps the most beautiful part of music is not just playing the right notes… but finding joy, confidence, and self-expression along the way ❤️

While preparing a simple version of the catchy “APT.” song for our upcoming Music for All event, one of our young learners surprised us with his own little twist 😆

Although practising on the keyboard, he happily switched to a guitar sound because he wanted to show Teacher his own “guitar version” of the song 🎸

A little cheeky, a little playful… and completely enjoying the music ❤️

At Aptitudio, we treasure these little moments — where children feel safe to express themselves, enjoy learning, and grow confidence through music in their own beautiful way 😊

Because sometimes, the most meaningful progress is not perfection… but joy ❤️

🧊 A little moment we loved at AptiArt ❤️

During one of our sensory art sessions, we explored coloured ice painting 🎨

One of our little learners was curious and wanted to try… but the ice felt too cold to touch 😬

So he came up with his own idea — holding teacher’s hand to paint together 😊

At AptiArt, participation can look different for every child ❤️

Some children jump right in.
Some observe first.
Some need a little support.
And sometimes, they surprise us with their own creative ways to feel safe enough to explore 🌷

Because learning is not about doing things perfectly — it is about meaningful little moments, confidence, and gentle experiences at each child’s own pace 😊

Last Sunday, we gathered for a heartfelt farewell dinner for Teacher Min Xuan ❤️

Thank you, Teacher Min Xuan, for being part of the Aptitudio journey and for the care, patience, and dedication you’ve shared with our students throughout the years.

As you begin a new chapter in New Zealand, we wish you happiness, growth, and beautiful adventures ahead. Though we will miss you dearly, you will always be part of the Aptitudio family 🥰

🎵 A joyful new musical journey begins at Aptitudio ❤️

At Aptitudio, we believe every child experiences music in their own beautiful way.

We are excited to introduce our new Ukulele & Singing Program — a gentle one-to-one musical experience designed for children to explore rhythm, singing, confidence, and joyful self-expression.

Sometimes, music begins with tiny fingers on strings…
Sometimes, with a happy little voice singing along 🎶

Whether your child enjoys singing, loves rhythm, or simply lights up through music, this may be a beautiful new musical experience to explore.

Trial lessons begin on 6 June (Saturday)
🕓 Starting from 4PM onwards
🎸 One-to-one session | 30 mins

Yesterday, Aptitudio was honoured to host a recording session for Graceful Piano Sdn Bhd— an upcoming film sharing stories inspired by the journeys of special needs families. ❤️

We are deeply grateful to the Graceful team and David Ng for giving our studio families the opportunity to share their voices, experiences, and personal journeys through this meaningful project.

Some questions were heavy.
Some answers came with tears.
Some moments came with smiles.

Behind every child is a story of perseverance, unconditional love, patience, and hope. Through these heartfelt interviews, we hope more people will gain a deeper understanding of the realities, challenges, and beautiful moments experienced by families raising children with special needs.

At Aptitudio, we have always believed that every child learns, grows, and expresses themselves in their own unique way. We are truly thankful to be part of a platform that encourages greater understanding, compassion, and awareness within our community.

A sincere thank you to all the parents and children who participated with openness and courage. Your stories matter, and we believe they will touch many hearts. ❤️

We are truly looking forward to the release of 姐妹的旋律 and hope this meaningful film will inspire greater understanding, empathy, and acceptance for children with special needs and their families. 🥰

Happy Teachers’ Day ❤️

To my wonderful teachers, thank you for the patience, love, and quiet strength you give every single day.

Teaching children with different learning needs is never easy. Some days are joyful, some days are challenging, and some days require more patience than words can describe. Yet, you continue to show up with kindness, understanding, and a heart willing to try again and again ❤️

Thank you for celebrating the smallest progress, calming the biggest emotions, believing in children when words are hard to express, and gently walking alongside every child at their own pace.

What you do goes far beyond teaching music or art — you are building confidence, trust, joy, and little moments of success that mean so much to each child and family ❤️
