Cook a storm for family on Malaysia Day.
Nasi lemak with petai ikan bills sambal that's not too spicy, cucur veggie with dried and fresh shrimp. Along with fried fishes, signature meat omelette and pickled cucumber + radish, carrot and pineapple ( not in the photos).

Red Bean Wool Roll Bread or Twisted Curly Buns.
This distinctive swirl design is created by scoring the roll out dough before shaping it into a ring, allowing the red bean paste to contrast sharply against the pale dough.
So pillowy soft and tender crumb with a lightly golden, glossy crust sprinkled with a mix of sesame seeds which add a subtle nutty crunch and aroma.

Bak Kwa Rolls.

"Bak Kwa Rolls", my cucus' favourite- requested for quite sometime.
Each roll is sprinkled with a mix of black & white sesame seeds and chopped spring onions, adding to their flavour and visual appeal. Inside the rolls are spread with chopped bak kwa.

Given some ripe bananas by a friend, and the craving for a "Banana Walnuts Butter Cake" suddenly popped up in my mind.
