Northern Lights Private School proudly celebrates Ong Zi Xuan of Form 3B on her outstanding achievement at SUKMA 2026, where she secured a Bronze Medal in Tennis.

This achievement reflects more than sporting talent and it represents the discipline, perseverance and commitment required to perform at a national level. Her journey is a testament to the values we strive to nurture in every NLPS student to pursue excellence, embrace challenges and grow with purpose.

Beyond the court, Zi Xuan continues to make her mark as a Vita Health Brand Ambassador, further representing the confidence, determination and potential of our young talents.

At NLPS, Merdeka isn’t just about waving the Jalur Gemilang. It’s about experiencing the Malaysia we live in.

Our celebration brought together the things that make our culture feel alive: traditional Malaysian flavours, games that brought out plenty of laughter, and vibrant Borneo-inspired dance.

Then came the moment everyone was waiting for our talented coaches hit the stage with an energetic NL Momentum dancing performance and singing medley, turning the celebration into one big shared experience.

Great ideas begin with a vision. Championships are built when that vision is brought to life.

At Digital Technology Program (DigiTech) 2026, our students took on the LRT Mutiara Challenge: Architectural Integration for the Penang Transport Master Plan, translating creativity, digital design and sustainable thinking into a forward-looking architectural solution.

Competing alongside 1,000+ participants from 41 schools, Northern Lights Framework rose to the challenge and proudly secured the🥇 CHAMPIONSHIP AWARD.

This achievement celebrates more than a winning project. It represents the power of innovation, collaboration, technical expertise and purposeful design which qualities that empower our students to think beyond today and create for tomorrow.

Bringing together junior and senior secondary debaters, the event provided a platform for students to sharpen their critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills while engaging in meaningful discussions.

The English Debate Competition 2026 was successfully held on 12th and 19th May 2026 at NLPS, bringing together talented debaters from Form 1 to Form 5 in a showcase of confidence, critical thinking, and eloquence.

We were honoured to have Coach Michael, Head of School, Madam Lee Mei Ling, Head of the Language Department from SMK Simpang Empat, and Ms Faith Yeo Jia Yee, an English Language Instructor from USM, as our distinguished judges for the event.
