A month of patience has come to its completion.
A day of gratitude has arrived.

Aidilfitri is not just a celebration, but a reminder to glorify Allah for guiding us through Ramadan and allowing us to complete it. It is a moment to return with hearts that are softer, more mindful, and filled with syukur.

May all our efforts, seen and unseen, be accepted by Allah. May this Aidilfitri bring peace, joy, and renewed faith to us and our loved ones.

Ihya’ Ramadan: A Celebration of Effort and Faith

Ramadan is not only a time to increase our worship, but also a time to grow in love for the Qur’an and the acts that bring us closer to Allah. Through our Ihya’ Ramadan programme, students were given the opportunity to express their connection with faith in different ways.

From Tilawah and Hafazan, to Azan, Tahriri, and Art & Craft, each competition reminded us that learning is not only about skill, but about sincerity, discipline, and courage to try. These moments help children build confidence while strengthening their bond with the Qur’an and the beautiful practices of our deen.

Congratulations to all the winners for their achievements, and heartfelt appreciation to every student who participated. The willingness to step forward, try, and learn is already a victory in itself.

May these small steps continue to nurture hearts that love the Qur’an and honour the spirit of Ramadan.

A night that changed the course of humanity.

On this blessed night, the first revelation began to descend, bringing guidance, wisdom, and light for every generation to come. The Qur’an was not sent merely to be recited, but to be understood, reflected upon, and lived by.

Nuzul Al-Quran reminds us that every verse carries meaning, every word invites reflection, and every message calls us back to what is right.

May our hearts remain connected to the Qur’an, not only in our recitation, but also in our understanding and reflection.

The Qur’an is not only recited.
It is written, reflected upon, and carried in the heart.

Through tahriri exercises, students slow down and pay attention to every letter of the Qur’an. Writing selected surahs helps strengthen memorisation, improve recitation accuracy, and build confidence with the words of the Qur’an.

These quiet moments of practice are part of their preparation for the Ihya’ Ramadan competition, where students will also participate in Hafazan, Tilawah, Azan, and Khat.

Because the Qur’an is honoured through moments like these.

Some verses are long, yet one single verse carries meanings of protection, power, and reassurance all at once. Ayatul Kursi is one of them.

As children reflect on this verse, they begin to understand why it is read before sleep and after prayers. It reminds the heart that nothing escapes His knowledge and nothing happens beyond His permission. Even the whispers of syaitan lose their hold when a person truly relies on Him.

So instead of only memorising, they paused to think about its words.
What does it mean that He never tires?
That He guards the heavens and the earth?
Slowly the verse becomes more than recitation. It becomes comfort, awareness, and trust.

“Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi at night, a guardian from Allah will remain with him and no devil will approach him until morning.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

A blessed month has arrived again, carrying nights of prayer, days of patience, and hearts turning back to what truly matters.

Ramadan reminds us that worship is not only about hunger and thirst, but about sincerity. Every small effort, every quiet intention, and every act of goodness is seen and valued. It is a time to soften our hearts, repair our habits, and grow closer to what is right.

May this blessed month fill our homes with calm, our routines with purpose, and our children with love for worship that lasts long after Ramadan ends.

Fun fact: Chocolate does not come about on its own!

Every step requires the right timing, temperature, and care. During our visit to Nokona Chocolate Factory (CNW JITRA Manufacturing) in Jitra, the children observed how cocoa beans are carefully guided into chocolate bars, step by step.

As they explored the process and made their own DIY chocolate bars, they began to see how planning and preparation matter. Too hot, too cold, or too rushed, and the outcome changes.

This opened space to reflect on how nothing happens without order. Everything follows a measure and wisdom. These sweet moments gently pointed to the name Al-Hakim, the Most Wise.

Just like chocolate-making, everything around us is created with order and purpose. Learning through experiences like this helps children see wisdom in the details and enjoy learning with wonder and meaning.

Forget Superheroes, Let’s Talk Angels!

Fun fact: Some of the strongest creations are not seen by the eyes. This session invited children to think beyond the visible world and reflect on the unseen parts of belief that shape our faith.

We revisited the Six Pillars of Iman, guiding children to recall what they know and encouraging them to ask questions when unsure. Through discussion, they explored why we were created, how creation points to its Maker, and how belief is more than memorising facts.

Learning about angels helped children understand purpose, obedience, and accountability. We also touched on the world of jinn, helping them distinguish truth from imagination and reminding them that not everything real is visible.

A meaningful session that nurtured curiosity and strengthened understanding of faith.

Did you know angels don’t eat, don’t sleep, and never get tired? They don’t get bored either — each angel has a special job, and they love doing it, exactly as Allah commands.

And here’s the coolest part: angels are real — superheroes are not.

This school holiday, children don’t need capes or superpowers to feel amazed. At Alhazen Learning Center, we invite curious young minds to explore something far more incredible — the wonders of Allah’s creation and the unseen world, where angels carry out His commands with strength, obedience, and purpose.

📖 The Story of Creation – Everything in the heavens and the earth is a sign from Allah for us to think about.

🍫 Trip to Nokona Chocolate Factory, Jitra – Discover how chocolate is made from bean to bar. Hands-on fun, tasty treats, and learning through exploration!

🕌 Tadabbur Ayatul Kursi – Reflect on the meaning of Ayatul Kursi and how it teaches us about Allah’s power, protection, and guidance in our daily lives.

👻 Jinn & the World of the Unseen – Do jinn have special powers?

🎨 Fun Comic Workshop – Create your own “not superhero” comic strip. Practice storytelling, creativity, and expressing ideas visually.
