Courtesy Visit by University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) to Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI)

We are pleased to share photos from a recent courtesy visit by the Director of the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development (CEPD), Ms. Safrina binti Zainal Abidin, together with a UTS officer, to Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI).

The visit included a campus tour led by the Chief Executive Officer of MPI, providing the UTS delegation with an opportunity to explore the institute’s facilities and learning environment.

The courtesy visit also served as a valuable platform to strengthen institutional engagement and explore potential opportunities for future collaboration in education, professional development and training.

🤝 Courtesy Visit by University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) to Borneo Business Hub

We are pleased to share photos taken during the courtesy visit by University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) to Borneo Business Hub, held on 17 September 2026.

UTS was represented by Ms. Safrina Binti Zainal Abidin, Director of the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development (CEPD), together with a UTS officer, while Borneo Business Hub was represented by its Director, Mr. Sean Hii Ru.

The courtesy visit provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss potential areas of collaboration, particularly in professional training, HRD Corp-related programmes, industry engagement, STEM education, digital skills development, and other mutually beneficial initiatives.

🤖 STEM Basic Robotics Programme 2026

We are pleased to invite students aged 10–12 years old to join our STEM Basic Robotics Programme 2027, which will be held on 16 January 2026 (Saturday) at University of Technology Sarawak (UTS).

The programme is designed to nurture critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving skills and teamwork through fun and engaging activities in Graphical Coding and Basic Robotics.

⚡ Wireman G2 Practical Training – Session 15/2026 ⚡

We are pleased to share some highlights from the Wireman G2 Session 15/2026 Practical Training conducted at the University of Technology Sarawak (UTS).

The participants will undergo another week of intensive practical training as they prepare for their upcoming competency examination with the Ministry of Utility and Telecommunication Sarawak (MUT).

For UTS Electrical Engineering students, this training provides an added advantage by complementing their academic qualifications with valuable industry-recognised competency and practical skills. Upon completion, students can graduate with not only a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, but also the pathway towards obtaining a competency licence, strengthening their professional readiness for the engineering industry.

Discussion Meeting between University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) and Pustaka Negeri Sarawak on the Library in Every Home (LIEH) Project

We are pleased to share highlights from the discussion meeting between University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) and Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, held at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Kuching.

The meeting was chaired by YBhg. Datuk Dr. Haji Draup, Chairman of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, together with his officers and project collaborators. The discussion focused on strengthening collaboration and exploring opportunities for the successful implementation of the Library in Every Home (LIEH) Project.

UTS was represented by Ms. Safrina Binti Zainal Abidin, Director of the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development (CEPD), together with Dr. Rahmat Aidil, Dean of the School of Business and Management (SBM).

The meeting marks another meaningful step towards strengthening strategic collaboration between UTS and Pustaka Negeri Sarawak in supporting education, knowledge development, and community empowerment in Sarawak.
