I used to think staying calm was easy—until my kids pushed back. The whining, the tantrums, the endless battles over the smallest things… and before I knew it, I snapped.
I was so tired of yelling. I hated how I sounded. And the worst part? I was starting to hate myself for it.
Then, I discovered a new way to approach parenting. No, it didn’t happen overnight. But within two months, I felt different—more patient, more in control, and best of all, my kids responded. They listened better, cooperated more, and I didn’t have to keep repeating myself.
It changed how I communicate, how I see their behavior, and how I show up as a parent. My only regret? Not learning this sooner.

Why I stopped Feeling Bad About My Kids Feeling Bored
After dinner, my kids usually get the privilege of screentime. But on some days, there’s no screentime—and when that happens, the whining begins. Especially from Big G, who always tries to test his limits.
I simply told him, “It’s okay to be bored. Boredom is good.” And sure enough, after a while, he found something to do—coloring with Small G. Just like that, boredom turned into creativity.
I know as parents, when our kids are bored, they often start disturbing us, and all we want is some peace. But here’s the truth: boredom gives kids the space to think, imagine, and create.
Big G was exposed to screentime as early as 12 months old. I still remember my husband saying, “Look at him, he has nothing to do… so pitiful.” Back then, I thought the same. But after doing my research, I realized that too much screen exposure does more harm than good, especially when given too early.
Before kids even understand how the real world works, they are already immersed in the virtual world. So how will they learn to differentiate between the two?
Too much screentime can lead to:
📌 Delayed speech development
📌 Shorter attention span
📌 Increased risk of anxiety & behavioral issues
📌 Reduced creativity & problem-solving skills
As parents, have we really thought about the long-term effects of excessive screentime? What kind of future are we shaping for our children?
Our kids come into this world as blank pages, and it is our role to nurture and guide their journey.
Let’s raise little champs together! 💪🏼❤️

The Parenting Shift That Brought Me Closer to My Child
“Mommy, why are you always so grumpy?” 💔
I froze. My heart sank. Gideon was filled with confused and unhappiness how I was becoming.
All I did was telling him to pack his school bag. But the way I said it—rushed, frustrated, with a sharp tone—made him feel unloved. That wasn’t what I wanted at all. 😞
That night, I lay awake, wondering: How many times has my child felt this way? How many moments have I lost because I was too stressed, too tired, or too busy correcting instead of connecting?
I knew something had to change. I wanted my child to feel safe, heard, and truly loved—without me losing my patience every day.
If you’ve ever felt this way, you’re not alone. 💖 Parenting is tough, but it doesn’t have to feel like a constant battle.
I found a way to connect with my child without yelling. And now, I want to share it with you.
