Calling all VERNADOCers! Here's an invitation for the next documentation for 2024-2025.

Natural Energy 2024-2025

Because of the so called Corona VERNADOC projects were so successful and although its reason, Covid-19 is already behind but the need for a wide VD co-operation is very high, we invite all the Vernadocers to research a worldwide common topic:

TOPIC:
Vernacular way to use natural energies, like water and wind. Welcome are also the use of animal and human power but the use of fire, we save for future. 😊

OBJECTS TO RESEARCH:
- Buildings for milling, pressing oil, wine ..., rising water etc.
- The constructions, especially the vernacular machinery are wanted.

VERNADOC-drawings in all needed scales from siteplan to details

TIME: until 31.12.2025
- If you have ready material you can send immediately (it helps with editing).

MATERIAL INCLUDES:
- the measuring drawings
- a short explanation
- material can also be collected and completed by earlier VD-drawings

MATERIAL WILL BE SENT:
- to [email protected];
- in digital format: scanned in original scale, 600 dpi, grayscale, jpg
- you keep the originals

RESULTS WILL BE PUBLISHED:
- as a printed book, page size A4, in English - in the international VERNADOC series

An invitation to Bekasi VERNADOC international camp.

The camp will be held from 2nd July until 16th July 2023 in Kampung Kraggan, Bekasi, Indonesia. The building to be documented is the Rumah Adat Kraggan, a Sundanese vernacular dwelling.

Those who are interested to participate can reach out to us or Indonesia. The camp is seeking for 10 international Vernadocers participants, and 20 Indonesian Vernadocers. Registration is open until 14th May 2023.
