April is leaving...
You may not see it yet,
but every little things you did with your child, it matters.

April reminds us: nothing is ever wasted.
It’s all growing into something beautiful. 🌿

And one day, we’ll look back and realise —
it was something big all along. ✨

🌙 Days 26–30 Reflection

As Ramadan slowly comes to an end, our children may begin to count the days to Eid.

But before the month leaves us, it is a beautiful moment to nurture something deeper — their love for Ramadan.

Children may not remember how many days they fasted.
But they will remember how Ramadan felt.

They will remember:
• The warmth of sitting together at iftar
• The excitement of waking up for sahur
• The quiet moments when hands were raised in du'a
• The kindness and patience shared at home

These small experiences are what plant the love of Ramadan in their hearts. Let them see that Ramadan is a month we cherish, not just complete.

Because when children grow up loving Ramadan,
they will return to it every year with willing hearts.

And that love often begins with the memories we create together.

Small steps, big faith.

Supplication for a Child to Be Granted Understanding of the Religion

اَللَّهُمَّ فَقِّهُّ فِي الدِّيْنِ وَعَلِّمْهُ التَّأْوِيْلَ

Meaning:
“O Allah, grant him understanding in the religion and teach him the interpretation (tafsir) of the Qur’an.”

This supplication was recited by Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. for Abdullah ibn Abbas while he was still a child. As a result, Ibn Abbas grew up to become a knowledgeable and humble scholar. He later became one of the companions who narrated many hadith of the Prophet s.a.w. during his lifetime.

Parents may practice this doa for your children in hoping Allah s.w.t. blesses them with understanding of the religion. 🤲

A moment of courage and curiosity.

Learning becomes unforgettable when children experience it with their own hands.

Holding a baby goat may seem like a small experience, but for a child it is a wonderful opportunity to learn about animals and nature, ask questions, and connect it with God. 🐐🌿

Through our field trip activity, learning becomes meaningful, memorable, and filled with joy.

Moments like these nurture not only knowledge, but also kindness, confidence, and respect for living things.

Ramadan is not only about fasting — it is also a beautiful time to nurture faith, compassion, and love for this blessed month in our children. 🌙

When children understand the meaning behind Ramadan, they grow up seeing it not as a restriction, but as a month filled with purpose, kindness, and connection with Allah.

Here are 5 ways to involve your child in the last days of Ramadan:

1️⃣ Read stories from the Holy Quran
Share simple Quran stories with your child before bed or after taraweeh.
✨ Why it matters: Ramadan is the month the Quran was revealed. Through stories, children begin to connect with the Quran, understand its lessons, and develop love for its guidance.

2️⃣ Make a Sadaqah Box
Prepare a small charity box at home and encourage your child to put coins inside throughout these last days of Ramadan. Transfer total amount to those in need by the end of Ramadan. If possible, do it together with your child.
✨ Why it matters: It teaches children that Ramadan is a month to practice about generosity, compassion, and caring for those in need.

3️⃣ Teach your child about Lailatul Qadr
Talk to them about this special night which is better than a thousand months and how to gain it.
✨ Why it matters: Children begin to understand that Ramadan has beautiful and meaningful moments, inspiring them to look forward to worship and dua extra during the last days of Ramadan.

4️⃣ Create a Gratitude List
Spend a time with your child to write or draw something that they are thankful for each day.
✨ Why it matters: It nurtures a heart of gratitude, helping children recognise the many blessings Allah has given them and maximise it the best way.

5️⃣ Learn about others’ Ramadan customs and traditions
Explore how Muslims around the world celebrate Ramadan — from different iftar foods to unique traditions.
✨ Why it matters: Children begin to see that Ramadan connects and unites Muslims everywhere and that they are part of a larger ummah celebrating the same blessed month.

When children are involved in these activities, Ramadan slowly becomes a month they understand, cherish, and look forward to every year. 🤍

What is one Ramadan activity your child would enjoys the most? 🌙

Small steps, Big faith.

🌙 Days 21–25 Reflection

Entering the Last Ten Nights..

For many adults, this is the time we increase our worship, seek forgiveness, and hope for the blessings of Laylatul Qadr.

For children, this is the time to help them feel the beauty of these nights.

They may not stay up late for long prayers.
They may not fully understand the greatness of these nights yet.

But they can learn the spirit of them.

Invite them to sit beside you while you make du'a.
Let them raise their small hands and speak to Allah in their own words.
Remind them that Allah loves to hear from them too.

When children see their parents turning to Allah,
they begin to understand that these nights are special.

And sometimes, the most powerful lesson for them
is simply watching us worship with sincerity.

Because the love of Ramadan is often learned through example.

Small steps, big faith.

Sometimes as parents we work so hard trying to build the best future for our children.

But what they often need most is not a perfectly planned life —
it’s our time, our presence, and our shared moments.

Because the childhood they remember is the one we lived together. 🤍
