Hosted by the Indian Society of Landscape Architects (ISOLA), this session brings together three interconnected perspectives that shape contemporary landscape practice:

📖 Traditional Knowledge Systems – Rhea Shah explores how traditional wisdom continues to inform contemporary landscape architecture through indigenous knowledge, cultural landscapes, vernacular practices, ecological memory.

🫶 More-than-Human Ecologies – Rushika Khanna reframes landscape thinking beyond human-centered approaches by recognizing plants, animals, water, soils, and ecological systems as active participants in shaping resilient and regenerative landscapes.

🌿 Practices of Commoning – Mohan Rao addresses collective stewardship, participatory governance, maintenance, repair, and the shared responsibility of caring for landscapes through collaboration and community engagement.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about events, enjoys working with people and is able to coordinate programmes, workshops, seminars and other ILAM activities.

*Requirements:*
•⁠ ⁠Minimum 2–4 years of relevant working experience
•⁠ ⁠Organised, responsible and able to work independently
•⁠ ⁠Good communication and coordination skills
•⁠ ⁠Candidates with a Landscape Architecture background are welcome to apply

Join us in this free IFLA-APR Talk & Share, hosted by New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects Tuia Pito Ora (NZILA), to explore how strengthening cross-border relationships in practice and education can help tackle shared environmental and societal challenges in landscape architecture!

One session will feature academia perspectives: Dr Andre Brown, Dr Yiwen Cui, and recent graduate Keegan Barnett-Bates as they share their firsthand experiences with the international academic partnership at the Wellington Institute at Zhengzhou University in China.
