Everywhere is Love will be hosting an online Zoom sharing with R. Tamminga, titled “Why Yoga Matters More Than Ever for Kids Today”, on 18 May (Monday), from 7:30 to 9:00 PM.
Children today are growing up in a very different environment, with increased screen exposure, academic pressure, and constant overstimulation. Research shows rising anxiety, shorter attention spans, and reduced physical activity. This is not because something is wrong with children, but because the environment is shaping how their brains develop and function.
In this context, yoga becomes especially relevant. Through breathwork, yoga postures, quiet time, and awareness, children learn to pause, reset, and respond instead of react. This is not just about flexibility or having fun, but about building a healthy body, a regulated nervous system, and a peaceful and steady mind.
In today’s world, yoga is no longer just an activity, it is becoming essential. These are skills children have rarely been taught, yet are increasingly expected to have at home, in school, and in daily life. Yoga steps in to fill this gap, not as enrichment, but as something fundamental.
We will be sharing more about this in the upcoming Zoom session, exploring why yoga matters more than ever for children today and how we can better support them in this changing world.
If you are interested, feel free to join us.

Everywhere is Love 💜 has been promoting children’s yoga in Malaysia since 2012. Our teachers teach children’s yoga across Malaysia, and we continue to train more children’s yoga teachers. Since 2024, we have introduced The Yoga of Emotion, using yoga to better understand and work with emotions, not just the physical aspect of the practice.
