Learn Biology with Teacher Fatin π§¬
In this video, we explore the lock and key model in enzymes.
Enzymes are biological catalysts that help speed up chemical reactions in living organisms. Each enzyme has a specific active site, and only the correct substrate can fit into it β just like the right key fits the right lock.
This is what makes enzymes highly specific in the reactions they carry out.
A simple concept, but an important one for mastering Biology revision.
Save this post for your notes and share it with a friend who is revising enzymes.
