The Okra plant that was brought home by students and one parent sent this picture.....it grew👍👍Bravo! A collaborative effort from parents and children. Well done, Mrs Tan! A labour of love project❤️

Happy 68th Independence Day, Malaysia!

In performing an exercise from beginning until the end using Sensorial apparatus, this increases the child's concentration span and development of eye hand co-ordination. A child can correct herself when an error occurs as "didactic" Montessori learning materials have "control of error" ; whereby a child will know how to solve the error made. Below, the exercise can be completed when all the k***s are fitted correctly (one to one correspondence). Hence, Mathematics is introduced (learning on sizes and dimensions).

Today's Class Project was to grow a green pod-shaped vegetable Okra (Kacang Bendi). Environmental Studies for children in the area of Botany is introduced through hands-on activities. It gets dirty but definitely fun as the students worked hard through the whole process of planting the seeds with soil and watering the seedlings. Good Monday Morning! 🌞
