UiTM Secures National Project Grant from CIDB Malaysia!

We are pleased to announce that Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) has successfully secured a national project grant from the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia.

Project titled “Perundingan bagi Pembangunan Pelan Strategik Baharu CIDB (2026–2030)”

This strategic consultation initiative aims to support CIDB Malaysia in formulating its next 5-year masterplan, driving the transformation of the national construction industry through expert insights and policy innovation for sustainable development.

Total Project Grant Value: RM 428,819.96

UiTM Leads OSH Advancement in Construction with Prestigious UK Grant

We are delighted to announce that Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), in strategic collaboration with The University of Manchester, has successfully secured The Academy of Medical Sciences Networking Grant, supported by leading institutions from the UK, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Project titled” UK–Indonesia–Malaysia Alliance for Occupational Safety and Health Advancement in Construction (OSH-Advance)”

This initiative aims to strengthen regional collaboration to address occupational safety and health (OSH) challenges in the construction sector, aligning efforts across academic, regulatory, and industry landscapes for sustainable development and safer working environments.

Total Grant Awarded: RM 145,951 (£25,000)

Principal Researchers:

Prof. Ir. Dr. Che Khairil Izam Che Ibrahim (Malaysia)

Dr. Akilu Yunusa-Kaltungo (United Kingdom)

Project team members are from UiTM, DOSH, The University of Manchester (UoM), University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), and Universitas Indonesia (UI)

This collaborative project exemplifies the global commitment towards improving workplace safety through cross-border networking, research capacity building, and impactful engagement in the construction industry.
