Starting this year, after EVERY chapter is completed, students will be given a quiz. This approach will help to solve the false confidence during lessons, i.e. students can answer questions in class but still couldn't get good grades in the exams.

My previous student who is currently doing matriculation sent me this message yesterday.
The steps I use to prove inverse trigonometric identities:
1) Equate the inverse (on the unsimplified side) with a variable
2) Sub the variable into the unsimplified side
3) Look at what trig function we have on the other side
4) Use appropriate formula
5) Sub back the variable with the original inverse
The solution for the questions is as shown in the comment section.

In class now. Waiting for the student to finish answering a question from a 0580 past year paper.

All the best to my students and all IGCSE students sitting for Math 0580 paper 2 tomorrow (Administrative Zone 5) and on Friday (Administrative Zone 4) 💪🏼💪🏼
Yesterday was tough.
SPM result day always feels like a rollercoaster. Teaching a killer subject, teacher memang jarang nak message parents/students to find out what they got. I just waited kalau ada yang sudi nak share. Just in case they want some privacy. From those WAs that I received, ada yang happy, ada yang bunyi sedikit kecewa. Ada juga yang tak mesej langsung. And in between all those texts, I find myself wondering… did I do enough? Did I disappoint them? Could I have pushed a little harder, explained a little better, noticed a little more?
Terus terang, I couldn’t really sleep last night. I kept thinking about the ones who never skipped class, who messaged me late at night asking for help ataupun very early in the morning before they went to school, the ones who fought so hard with their own struggles just to keep going.
People often forget — teachers aren’t made of stone. We carry those worries too. We keep on replaying the "what-ifs". Kami pun terasa pedihnya bila keputusan tidak seperti yang diharapkan. Not because of numbers on a paper, but because we know how much it meant to them. And to their parents.
But maybe today, I just need to remind myself… I tried my best. They tried their best. And one exam doesn’t define anyone.
To my dear students — I AM PROUD OF YOU. ALWAYS HAVE BEEN. ALWAYS WILL BE.
And to every parent who reached out — thank you for trusting me with your child. It’s a responsibility I carry with love.
Some days are heavy. But tomorrow, we keep going.

Pringles aren't just known for their flavor—they're a marvel of design and geometry. Unlike traditional potato chips, which are randomly cut and fried, Pringles were engineered with precision, using a mathematical shape called a hyperbolic paraboloid.
This saddle-like curve gives each chip structural strength and makes them less prone to breaking. Because of this shape, they distribute stress evenly, so even under the pressure of stacking, they resist cracking. It also allows the chips to nest perfectly into one another, which is why they can be stacked in a neat, compact tube—reducing air gaps and packaging waste.
The result? A snack that's not only efficient to transport and store, but also delivers a consistent crunch with every bite—all thanks to some clever engineering.
So the next time you pop open a can of Pringles, remember: you're not just eating a chip, you're biting into a math equation.
