Students and lecturers from the Master of Environmental Engineering programme visited Atoz Carbon Cycle (ACC) in Sekinchan on 10 December 2025. The visit provided valuable exposure to how this Malaysian sustainability platform integrates microalgae cultivation and Black Soldier Fly (BSF) farming to reduce carbon emissions and recycle organic waste through regenerative biotechnology.
The programme featured an informative briefing and demonstrations by Ms. Jean, Dr. Baizura, and Dr. Zheng, who shared insights into ACCโs innovative approaches to carbon capture, waste valorisation, and circular economy practices; giving us valuable insight into real-world environmental engineering applications.
