Can Tony Armstrong learn the extraordinary art of playing the gumleaf? 🍃

Uncle Herb has been perfecting his gum leaf playing for 65 years, having first learnt from his great-uncle when he was just a young boy.

First Nations people have been using gum leaves as an instrument for quite some time. In the 1940s it became increasingly popular with non-indigenous Australians leading to competitions popping up around the country.

Uncle Herb was a regular competitor and has become dedicated to keeping the tradition of gum leaf playing alive.

⚠️ As conscious parents trying to create an environment for our children to thrive, taking them out of the conventional educational system isn’t enough.

👉🏼 We often have to reflect deeply on our own conditioning, and consciously change our negative behaviours to prevent passing them on.

❌ Over controlling our children, the default parenting style of the western world, is not the best way. It isn’t easy to break free from these deep rooted habits, but it is worth the effort.
