I missed Autism Awareness Month (April) but as a mother to an autistic young adult, I still felt this needed to be shared.
I’ve shared parts of Noah’s journey on this platform over the years, and I’m often asked for my thoughts on raising an autistic child.
These are some of my reflections; from someone still trying to navigate this path, just now with a 22-year-old.
If you’re on this journey too, I hope this reaches you.
On the hard days, when it feels heavy — keep going.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Where Should I Train As a Montessori Teacher in South East Asia?
Finally the answer is here!
It’s the question I’m asked often: “Where should I go to do my Montessori 3-6 diploma?”
If you’re in Southeast Asia, I have one answer that I recommend without hesitation: AMI 3-6 Diploma at the Montessori Association of Thailand.
This isn’t just another Montessori training course. This is an experience that will fundamentally transform how you understand children, learning, and your role as a Montessori guide.
Why This Course Stands Out
1. The Trainer is Phenomenal
Educators travel from across Asia specifically to train with Teng-Chien Jack Yu. His ability to transfer the depth of Montessori knowledge to students from vastly different backgrounds is truly remarkable. Jack’s dedication to Montessori principles and ability to inspire future guides is unmatched in the region. And believe me the trainer makes a huge difference to your training experience and future work with children!
2. The Training Center is Stunning
Imagine learning in a space that embodies Montessori beauty and order—a prepared environment designed for adult learners that reflects the very principles you’ll be implementing with children.
3. The Experience Prepares You Completely
This comprehensive program doesn’t just teach you the materials; it transforms your understanding of child development and equips you with everything you need to offer the very best to the children in your care.
4. Blended Course Format
With the blended course format, this course becomes accessible to everyone in Southeast Asia. We’re excited to put together the first cohort of Malaysians to undergo Montessori training with the esteemed AMI trainer Jack. Ready to come back and make a much-needed change in the early years education field in Malaysia.
