CCIS is thrilled to announce that Clarisse and Arielle from Year 7 have been shortlisted for the 2026 John Locke Institute Global Essay Prize (Psychology Category)!

Out of over 100,000 entries from 187 countries, they have placed among the top 17.5% - a truly outstanding achievement for our young writers.

Guided by Mr. David Geary, Clarisse and Arielle embraced the rigours of academic writing with remarkable maturity - receiving feedback with an open mind, revising with discipline, and crafting essays that demonstrated original, well-reasoned arguments. The competition rewards precisely this kind of intellectual courage - a precise thesis, layered reasoning, and conclusions that extend far beyond the classroom.

is also incredibly proud to note that this follows in Jasmine's footsteps, who made history last year as the school's first shortlisted entry in the same category.

Proud of you, ! Keep .

CCIS' Economics, Finance, and Political Society made it to the Monie Fest 2026 held in April this year. The event brought over 100 industry experts onto one platform making it, one of Malaysia's largest financial and investments event.

The society mooted and helmed by our Sixth Formers, saw representatives - Neevaj, Shane and Nixon - gaining firsthand exposure to keynote sessions, panel discussions, and practical workshops on investing, banking, and entrepreneurship, among others.

They had the privilege of hearing from distinguished leaders such as YB Liew Chin Tong, Khairy Jamaluddin, and Shahril Hamdan, and explored exhibition booths hosted by top organisations including Bursa Malaysia, Maybank, Kenanga Investments and EPF.

Visiting the exhibition area, the representatives gained valuable insights into the latest developments in finance, investing, and the Malaysian economy.

At CCIS, students are encouraged to explore how they can enhance their learning experiences as part of our Rigour core value. The society, committed to encourage their members to engage with real-world economic and financial developments beyond the classroom, finds experiences like Monie Fest provide invaluable opportunities to broaden perspectives, connect with industry professionals, while deepenin their understanding of today's economic landscape.

Congratulations to Neevaj, Shane, and Nixon on charting this first course! We can’t wait to see more of our students seizing such opportunities in the future.
