To our distinguished alumni, guests and students, we look forward to having you this Saturday as we celebrate 100 years of the School of Pharmacy, 25 years in Malaysia.

The School of Pharmacy and Division of Biomedical Sciences bags multiple awards for individual and school efforts towards research and knowledge exchange, teaching and learning, external engagement and STEM outreach ✨🔥.

We are also pleased to share that we receive 🥇for Creative Social Engagement for the second year in a row, driven by the excellent contents put up by our student champions. A big shout-out to Liyana (MPharm Year 4), Renee (BMS Year 2) and Charmaine (BPharm Year 3) for their outstanding contribution towards the School and most definitely share this award 👏👏

The semester didn’t just end; it literally ate! 💥

From the deep dives to those final eposter and presentation slides, seeing all that hard work come together in the lecture hall has been the highlight of the term. You’ve run your projects successfully, tackled the complex topics, survived the group projects, and brought your A-game when it mattered most.

Now, it’s time to shift gears. As you head into the study break:

Stay Focused: Break down those notes into bite-sized wins.

Rest Up: Your brain needs the recharge as much as the coffee.

Believe in the Prep: You’ve done the work all semester—now it’s time to bring it home.

Wishing everyone the absolute best with revisions. For BMS and PHS Year 3 students, one final hurdle between you and graduation 🎓. You’ve got this! 📚☕️✨

Nothing beats the energy of a room full of pharmacists and healthcare scientists dedicated to growth and learning. Today’s symposium was a deep dive into the skill sets we need to thrive in a rapidly changing world summarised by these themes consistently featured in our speaker's sharing:

3. Applying your knowledge to address gaps in the healthcare market and make positive impact to patient's life.

Our School's World Patient Safety Day 2025 Celebration in collaboration with the Pharmaceutical Association of Malaysia (PhAMA) was a resounding success, thanks to your participation and engagement! 🎉✨👏

We sincerely hoped that everyone benefited from the sharing of our esteemed speakers and guests on their take to ensure patient safety - pharmacovigilance, adverse reaction reporting, tips to avoid medication errors and the proper disposal of pharmaceuticals all play a major part to safeguard patients, society and the environment.

We are also extremely pleased to share that the Safe Medicine Disposal Drive by MyMediSafe received overwhelming support from members of the University - 12.5 KG of unwanted medicines were collected, which would have ended up in landfills and polluting our water systems.

Let us all continue in our efforts and be mindful to ensure pharmaceuticals are used safely and disposed off properly. A small effort from our part will lead to major impact ✨
