Do you prefer to use British English or American English spelling? 🇬🇧🇺🇸

In British English, when a verb ends in a single vowel and an ‘l’, often we double the ‘l’ before adding a suffix like ‘-ed’.

For example:

travel ➡️ travelled

In American English, often the ‘l’ is not doubled.

travel ➡️ traveled

Remember, both variations are correct. But you must choose one in your Cambridge English exam and be consistent!
