📸 Port Dickson: Lens & Learn — Educational Photography Trip 2026 📸

The Photography Society, TAR UMT Johor Branch successfully organised a two-day, one-night educational photography trip titled “Port Dickson: Lens & Learn” from 📅 18 to 19 July 2026.

A total of 👥 34 participants, including students and an advisor, embarked on this learning journey to enhance their practical photography skills in 🌊 coastal and nature photography, while exploring landscape, seascape, architectural, cultural, and visual storytelling techniques.

During the trip, participants visited various photography locations in Port Dickson, including Pusat Ikan Hiasan Port Dickson, Pantai Teluk Kemang, Muzium Tentera Darat, Port Dickson Waterfront, Centipede Temple (Then Sze Koon Temple), and Muzium Negeri Sembilan. These experiences allowed students to practise photography in different environments and lighting conditions while improving their camera techniques.

Through this educational journey, participants gained hands-on experience, enhanced their creativity, strengthened teamwork, and developed meaningful photography portfolios while capturing the beauty and cultural heritage of Negeri Sembilan. ✨

The Buddhist Society, TAR UMT Johor Branch organised a Bonding and Recreational Activity on 📅 19 July 2026 (Sunday) at 📍 DKC1.

A total of 👥 14 participants took part in this enjoyable session, engaging in fun and interactive games designed to strengthen friendships and build closer relationships among members.

Through this activity, participants had the opportunity to enhance their 💬 communication, 🤝 teamwork, and cooperation skills while creating a warm, friendly, and enjoyable environment for everyone.

It was a meaningful occasion for members to connect, interact, and create memorable experiences together. ✨

🌱 Community Service: Kem Badan Beruniform 2026 🌱

The Marketing and Management Society (MMS), TAR UMT Johor Branch, conducted a Community Service: Kem Badan Beruniform at SJK (C) Jabi on 📅 17 July 2026.

A total of 👥 18 TAR UMT Johor Branch student volunteers and 2 advisors participated in the activity, supporting the camp by guiding and facilitating Year 5 and Year 6 students through various engaging activities, including ⛺ tent-pitching competition, 🎯 station games, 🍳 cooking competition, and 🔥 campfire session.

Through this experiential learning programme, students developed valuable skills in 🤝 teamwork, 💬 communication, 🌟 leadership, 💡 creativity, and 🧩 problem-solving, while cultivating discipline, responsibility, confidence, and mutual respect.

The activity also provided MMS committee members with opportunities to enhance their event coordination, facilitation, and leadership skills while contributing positively to the local community. 💪✨

✨ Johor Youth Business Forum 2026 ✨

The Marketing and Management Society (MMS), TAR UMT Johor Branch, participated in the Johor Youth Business Forum organised by the Johore Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Youth Entrepreneur Committee (JACCCI YEC) on 📅 12 July 2026 at 📍 Seminar Hall 2, Pekin Sutera, Johor Bahru.

A total of 👥 8 student members and 2 advisors attended the forum to gain valuable insights into 💼 entrepreneurship, 🤖 Artificial Intelligence (AI), 📈 current business trends, and 🌏 economic developments. The programme also provided opportunities for students to develop 💡 entrepreneurial thinking, 🤝 expand professional networks, and 🚀 enhance their understanding of the business world.

🌿 Wellness Campaign 2026 🌿

The Student Counselling Service organized the Wellness Campaign 2026 from 6–8 July 2026 at the ICT Centre, TAR UMT Johor, with the support of the Peer Support Society, Segamat District Health Office (PKD), and The Breast Cancer Support Society Segamat (BCSS).

A total of 93 students participated in free health screening, breast self-examination awareness, mindfulness activities, and the PROSTAR 2.0 Talk, promoting the "Healthy Body, Healthy Mind" concept while encouraging healthy lifestyles, creativity, teamwork, communication, and leadership.

🐟 Industry Talk: Navigating the Aquafeed Manufacturing Industry 🌊

The Department of Applied Sciences and Agriculture (DASA), TAR UMT Johor Branch, successfully organized the Industry Talk: Navigating the Aquafeed Manufacturing Industry on 19 June 2026 at the Aquatic Science Lab.

Delivered by Mr. Lee Low, General Manager of Dindings Soya & Multifeeds, the session provided students with valuable insights into the aquafeed manufacturing industry, internship expectations, career opportunities, and the technical skills required in the aquaculture sector. An interactive Q&A session also allowed students to engage directly with the industry expert.

A total of 18 participants, comprising 15 Diploma in Aquaculture students and three lecturers, attended the programme, gaining valuable industry exposure and a deeper understanding of career pathways in aquaculture.

As part of our Civic and Consciousness course, this event aims to promote compassion towards animals, encourage volunteerism, and strengthen teamwork through hands-on experiences. Together, let's create a better environment for our furry friends while making unforgettable memories! 🤝💛
