We are proud to share that Nexus International School Malaysia has received the Judges Choice Award for Student Leadership at the ASEAN School Awards 2026, held in Bangkok, Thailand. 🏆
The award recognises the positive impact of our learner leaders through learner-led Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs), where learners take ownership of initiatives, support their peers and contribute meaningfully to the school and wider ASEAN education community. Through these experiences, they develop the confidence, compassion and leadership skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
A special congratulations to Maddy, Director of Global Citizenship at Nexus International School Malaysia, who received the award on behalf of the school in Bangkok. Through her leadership in advancing global citizenship and learner-led initiatives, she continues to create meaningful opportunities for learners to make a positive impact within and beyond the school community.
Nexus was also recognised as a finalist for our Global Citizenship Experiential Learning curriculum, highlighting our commitment to meaningful and globally minded learning experiences.
Thank you to our learners, educators and community for being part of these achievements.

Year 6 recently concluded their IPC unit, They See the World Like This, with a creative Exit Point that invited parents to experience the world through the eyes of our learners.
Through the theme of People, Places and Culture, learners explored the Big Question: Can Art Change the World? Through the lenses of Art, International Learning and Music, they investigated how art can shape perspectives, reflect cultures and influence the way people think, feel and connect with the world around them.
The event featured a showcase assembly and interactive art gallery filled with immersive spaces, demonstration stations, artwork and creative installations inspired by the learners’ thoughts, emotions and interpretations throughout the unit. Working collaboratively, learners took ownership of the experience, from developing performances to designing and presenting their creative pieces.
It was a meaningful celebration of learner voice, creativity and the confidence to express complex ideas in thoughtful and imaginative ways.

Behind every question answered, every word of encouragement and every moment of growth is a teacher who chooses to show up with patience, care and belief in their learners every single day. ❤️
Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds, experiences and cultures, bringing different perspectives into the classroom, which helps foster an inclusive environment where every learner feels seen, heard and valued. Beyond academics, they build meaningful relationships and inspire learners to approach challenges with curiosity, resilience and an open mindset — the Nexus way.
Thank you, Nexus teachers. Your impact goes far beyond the classroom and we truly value all that you do. Happy Teacher’s Day to all incredible teachers. ✨
