On this meaningful Mother’s Day, the students of Activetalk English gathered at Aeon Hall, AEON Mall Shah Alam to celebrate the love and sacrifice of their mothers through courage, gratitude, and heartfelt public speaking under the guidance of Teacher Chris Kam and Dr Joseph Ng.😀🎤✨

Each student stepped onto the stage with confidence, delivering speeches under the love and nurturing of the women who have guided them through life. The hall was filled with smiles, applause, and touching moments as parents watched their children speak bravely before the audience.😱⏳🎊

The most emotional moment came when every student walked down from the stage and personally presented a rose to their mother. Some mothers smiled warmly, while others were deeply moved by the sincere gesture.🤩🌳💫

It was truly a touching, warm, and meaningful afternoon — a beautiful reminder to live life to the fullest and honour our mothers with love, courage, gratitude, and meaningful actions every single day.😘🎗️🌈

The atmosphere was filled with tears, appreciation and thankfulness.😀🎤✨

最令人动容的一刻，是每位学生亲自走下舞台，把一朵玫瑰花献给自己的母亲。有些母亲露出温暖的笑容，有些则被孩子真诚的举动深深感动，感动得热泪盈眶。🤩🌳💫

整个下午洋溢着眼泪、感恩与感谢的氛围。这不仅是一个温馨而感人的下午，更提醒着我们要活出精彩的人生，用爱、勇气、感恩与实际行动，来荣耀与珍惜我们的母亲。😘🎗️🌈

Today is Labor Day. I want to share with you something very important — how we, as students in Activetalk, can grow in English proficiency, even when English is not our mother tongue.😀🎤✨

Living in Southeast Asia, many of us grow up speaking languages like Malay, Mandarin, Tamil, Thai, or Khmer at home. English may feel like a “school subject” instead of a natural language. But here’s the truth: English is not just a subject — it is a tool, a bridge, and a voice that connects us to the world.

Let me tell you a story.
There is a young boy named . He used to sell souvenirs near in Cambodia. Every day, he met tourists from different countries. He did not attend expensive English classes. Instead, he learned English by listening, observing, and most importantly, speaking bravely with visitors.😱⏳🎊

At first, his English was not perfect. He made mistakes. But he kept trying. Slowly, his confidence grew. One day, a video of him speaking fluent English went viral around the world. Today, he is an inspiration to many young learners like you。😘🎗️🌈

So what can we learn from Thuch Salik?

First, don’t be afraid to speak.
In Activetalk, this is your safe place. Mistakes are not failures — they are stepping stones. Every time you speak, you improve.😀🎤✨

Second, use English in real life.
Don’t only speak English during class. Try using it with your friends, when ordering food, or even when thinking in your mind. The more you use it, the more natural it becomes.😱⏳🎊

Third, learn from your environment.
In Southeast Asia, we are surrounded by diversity. Listen to different accents, watch English shows, read simple books, and pick up new words daily. Language is everywhere — not just in textbooks.🤩🌳💫

Fourth, be curious and confident.
Thuch Salik did not wait to be perfect before speaking. He spoke to learn. That is the mindset we need.😘🎗️🌈

Finally, remember this:
Your mother tongue is your strength, not your weakness. Being bilingual or multilingual makes you even more powerful. English simply adds another key to your future — opening doors to education, friendships, and opportunities across the world.😱⏳🎊

So, Activetalk students, I encourage you:
Speak up. Try more. Fear less. Grow daily.

在东南亚生活，我们许多人在家里说马来语、华语、泰米尔语、泰语或高棉语。英语有时会让人觉得只是“学校科目”，而不是一种自然使用的语言。但事实是：英语不仅是一门科目——它是一种工具、一座桥梁，也是让我们与世界沟通的声音。
让我给大家讲一个故事。有一位年轻的男孩，名叫Thuch Salik。他曾在Angkor Wat附近卖纪念品。每天，他都会接触来自世界各地的游客。他没有上过昂贵的英语课程，而是通过倾听、观察，最重要的是——勇敢地与游客交流来学习英语。
起初，他的英语并不完美，也会犯错。但他不断尝试，慢慢地，他变得越来越自信。后来，有一段他用流利英语交流的视频在全球走红。今天，他成为了许多像你们一样年轻学习者的榜样。
那么，我们可以从 Thuch Salik 身上学到什么呢？

Here we are at Aeon Mall Bukit Tinggi. We provide a platform for the kids in Activetalk English to express and showcase their speaking capability.

This requires an intense focus on their goal, an awareness of the steps needed to get there, and an openness to measure showing how they are doing toward the goal. This includes doggedness, persisting toward the goal despite setback and obstacles. That's the part of the drive to achieve that has been the focus of the concept of "grit".

🥳Our expectations are like the air we breath - they accompany us everywhere. You might assume that your body is resilient, or it is prone to sickness. We might believe that the stresses in our life are harming our health. These assumptions may appear to be inescapable, objective truth. If we can learn how to reset our expectations these issues we can actually have truly remarkable effects on our health, happiness and productivity. We can reshape our life to be a better self.

🗣Dutch researchers have shown that if someone has been told that they may find an exercise to be energizing, rather than fatiguing, can reduce the sense and depletion, so that they can be more persistent and focused. 💪

🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️While some students are exhausted at the end of school day, others seem to have boundless reserves that allow them to challenge their potential to leap forward.

If the potentials are untapped it will be wasted. We can see that the parents for children in Activetalk, their expectations have a profound effect to help their children to leap forward in their future challenge ahead. I am sure that they are more equipped to face it with their proficiency in English.

1. Park your car at the ground floor near Maybank.

2. Enter the building and take the lift on the left side of the entrance A.

3. Press Level 4 (Fourth Floor) in the lift.

4. When you reach Level 4, look for the Bowling area.

5. Aeon Hall is located right beside the Bowling area.

𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚 was held at 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐡 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝟔 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐨. Around 80 participants from Klang valley participated in this event. 🎀 I invited Mr Dickson Chong all over from Australia to come over as one of the main judges with Mr Ronald from Canada. It was a huge success . 😎
We have helped the kids to improve their self confidence and proficiency in English. They are studying in many prestigious Universities at this moment and some of them were granted the scholarship. As the principle of Activetalk, I felt honored and rewarded to be part of it. Activetalk English will continue to groom our students to be the elite of the society. 👑

我们帮助了许多孩子提升他们的自信心与英语水平。目前，他们当中有些人正在就读于多所著名大学，甚至还有获得奖学金的学生。作为 Activetalk 的负责人，我感到非常荣幸，也非常有成就感。Activetalk English 将会继续栽培我们的学生，成为社会中的精英。👑
