Hari Raya Aidilfitri, also known as Eid al-Fitr, is a significant celebration for Muslims worldwide. It marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection. Here are the key points to understand:

Festive Joy:
After a month of self-discipline, Muslims come together to celebrate. Families reunite, wear new clothes, and exchange warm greetings.

Gratitude and Forgiveness:
Hari Raya is a time for forgiveness and seeking blessings. We say “Selamat Hari Raya” to one another, asking for forgiveness from both God (zahir) and fellow humans (batin).

Generosity:
Giving “duit raya” (festive money) to children and those in need symbolizes generosity and sharing blessings.

Traditional Delicacies:
Ketupat (rice cakes) and rendang (spiced meat) are popular dishes during this festive season.

Unity and Community:
Hari Raya emphasizes unity, compassion, and love for all. It’s a time to strengthen bonds with family, friends, and neighbors.
