Our MYP 5 students proudly showcased their Personal Projects, highlighting months of research, creativity, and dedication. Through innovative ideas, meaningful solutions, and engaging presentations, students demonstrated their passion, growth, and commitment to lifelong learning.

Featured projects included digital game development, an English learning book for refugee communities, fine arts portfolios, original digital artworks, and many more; each reflecting students' unique passions, creativity, and personal growth.

🌱🧪 The Great Bioplastic Bake 🧪🌱

During "The Great Bioplastic Bake," our classroom transformed into a bustling sustainability lab where students became real-world scientists on a mission! 🔬✨ The excitement began before a single liquid was poured, as students worked in pairs to explore the raw ingredients. 🤝🔍 Curiosity filled the room as they observed, discussed, and analyzed the unique properties of each material, using their Thinking Skills 💡 to form hypotheses about how these simple elements would react when combined. The anticipation grew as they realized they were about to create their very own eco-friendly plastic! 🌍♻️

The next day, the real magic happened! ✨🧪 Students stepped up to the lab benches and demonstrated excellent Self-Management Skills (Responsibility) 📏⚖️ as they carefully measured liquids and weighed ingredients with precision. Working collaboratively with fantastic teamwork 🤝👏, they followed safety procedures like true scientists 🥼🔬. The room was filled with excitement as they stirred their mixtures and watched in amazement 😍 as the liquid gradually thickened and transformed into a solid gel before their eyes!

The experiment concluded with a delicate hands-on process as students carefully spread their warm mixtures onto aluminum foil to dry. 🌡️📄 Patience was key as they waited for their creations to cure, but the sense of accomplishment was well worth it! 🌟 Through this fun and engaging experience, students embodied the Caring ❤️ and Principled 🤲 learner profile attributes. By creating a biodegradable alternative to plastic, they gained a deeper understanding of sustainability and discovered how their actions can contribute to protecting our planet. 🌎💚

🎨✨ The Visual Arts and Design Exhibition was a vibrant celebration of imagination, creativity, and inquiry! 🌟

Our students explored ideas, experimented with different materials, and developed their artworks through a thoughtful journey of creating, reflecting, and refining. 🖌️🎭💡

Each piece showcased a unique story—highlighting individuality, curiosity, and growing confidence in visual expression. Students proudly shared the inspiration and thought processes behind their creations, demonstrating their ability to communicate ideas in meaningful and impactful ways. 🌈🖼️✨

Guided by dedicated teachers, students were encouraged to think independently, take creative risks, and reflect on their learning throughout the process. 👩‍🏫📚💭

The exhibition brought our learning community together in a wonderful celebration of student voice, artistic expression, and the joy of turning ideas into meaningful works of art. 🎉🎨❤️
