侨民学校

侨民学校 国民型侨民华文小学 Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) CHEOW MIN

侨民学校创建于1951年6月3日。从前是一件乡村区之国民型华文小学，本校创校发起人为：拿督斯里黄衍扁局绅 JP,DPMJ,SSIJ,苏看有，王令贤，陈永求、黄怡坛、黄怡龟、黄良水、苏量有、苏软有，张新福、洪祖江、黄衍象、张亚细、吴两全、董万兴及和胜栈等。

本校于一九五一年六月三日正式由当时笨珍县警长G.B.Griffin主持开幕。本校之创办可谓历尽千辛万苦，除了上述创办发起人落力奔走外，还得到当地及外地的商翁和热心人士的大力资助，方能创立成功。本校创立初期聘吴霖出任第一任校长，学生只有数十人而已。在历任董事长，董事们及校长的合作下，更加上热心人士的资助，方能有今日的发展。
