Check us out: https://linktr.ee/mmgmsia Welcome to Teacher Hui Kee's little cozy music room where you'll be surrounded by lots of fun learning (with a pinch of discipline), love, laughter, and adorable pets! Classical Music, major in piano studies under tutelage of Mr. In
year 2010, Hui Kee started her own music school name Blue Grass Music & Arts. In only a year's time, the enrollment grew from zero to over 70 students. And since year 2012, she had over 120 students and 10 staff working under her care. During those years, her jobs include managing and handling staff and customers; planning teaching syllabus; organizing concerts; workshops; road shows and events; marketing music business and sales, mainly music instruments, books, and accessories. In March 2015, Hui Kee wrote the script, directed and produced an in-house musical production involved over 40 students and 10 teachers called "FUNtastic Disney! The Musical", which managed to raise over RM10,000 for a charity organization name Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled. In year 2011, Hui Kee attended Music Mind Games Unit 1 training with founder Michiko Yurko in Melbourne, Australia and became a Music Mind Games dealer and conducted several overview workshops on her own ever since. In August 2016, she attended another Unit 1 training with Michiko Yurko and Aiko Takahashi in Tokyo, Japan. Despite all success and hard work, she decided to sell her music business with heavy heart to help out with her husband's family business. But her passion towards music education never dies hence Staccato Music Room was being set up! About Music Mind Games:
Music Mind Games is a curriculum of more than 300 cooperative games for teaching music theory and reading, created and developed by Michiko Yurko in the USA. Used in music studios and classrooms around the world, Music Mind Games makes music theory easy to understand and most of all, makes it really fun. Students learn sophisticated concepts involving rhythm, dictation, note reading, and sight-singing in the form of imaginative games. Thanks to a nurturing teaching philosophy, sequential pedagogical concepts, clever materials and mind-stimulating games, students grow to love and be excited about music theory. The essence of the Music Mind Games method is detailed in the 230-page book of the same name first published by Warner Bros. Publications in 1992 and now published by Alfred Publishing Co., Inc. It explains the teaching philosophy and details games for students ages two through adult. Check out the Power Point Presentation for an even better understanding of the philosophy and scope of Music Mind Games. The popular boxed game Musopoly is available on our site, in music stores and online. Music Mind Games is useful in private music lessons, small weekly or semi-monthly theory classes, public and private school music programs, workshops, summer camps, church choirs and home schooling. These concepts have an immediate impact for students of all instruments whether they play only a few games or are taught the entire scope of the nine-year curriculum. The book is an invaluable tool for music educators and is detailed enough for non-music readers to understand. Since teachers and parents are often very good at improvising, it is also possible to use the materials without playing games to help the theory concepts be more clear.
