My art journalling journey is a pretty interesting one, I remember trying to explain to me what even were these at the beginning haha.

It eventually became one of the outlet for healing for me over the past year and because of that, we both intend to bring this activity to more people around us.

Fast forward to today, we’re organising monthly art journalling sessions at and we’re slowly building our community numbers along the way.

Our next session is happening with details below:

Date : 17 May 2024 (Sat)
Time: 2-5pm
Venue : MTMT Studios
Fee: RM 30/pax

Feel free to DM us to sign up.

So… months ago we had a blackout in the middle of an art session.

Everyone just paused mid-brush stroke like 🧍‍♀️🎨
Not exactly the “fully equipped studio experience” we promised.

But here’s the plot twist.
A café a few doors down was still operating as usual, annnndddddd they had cats.
So what started as a minor panic turned into an unexpected field trip.

No easels or proper setup. Our team just moved whichever art supplies we could make do with, and moved the entire squad over.

We pretty much just utilized whichever table corner, random surface, and patch of light we could find.

Everyone was super understanding, they adapted, laughed, snuggled with the cats at the studio and most importantly, finished their pieces.

It reminded us that sometimes the experience isn’t about perfect conditions — it’s about the people in the room.

We’re incredibly grateful to that café (even though they’ve since closed down 🥲) and to every participant who handled the situation with so much grace.

If you’re looking to join a session — hopefully with electricity fully functioning 😅 — or even host a private session at your own venue, we’d love to create something with you.

The past few months have been… slower.

You can feel it everywhere. Conversations are quieter. Bookings take longer. And yes, when the news about war started circulating, you could feel the tightness in people’s pockets too.

We’ve heard of studios closing, businesses scaling back, some don't even know when's their customers coming back.

For now, we’re not making any big financial leaps.
No risky expansions or bold investments. Just steady steps.

Uncertainty is VERY VERY uncomfortable.
But we’ve learned not to make decisions out of fear.

In the middle of all this, we still have moments like this —
a regular student painting three canvases at the same time, completely unfazed by the outside world.

Sometimes that’s the reminder we need.
Keep creating, showing up, do the work quietly.

We don’t know what the coming months will look like.
But we’re hopeful things will pick up after Raya.

Until then, we stay grounded and we keep the paint flowing.

🧧🎨 Festive season = timetable Tetris mode

With all the public holidays, school events, balik kampung plans and last-minute swaps… we’ve basically been rearranging our class schedule like a giant puzzle the past few weeks 😅

Trying to keep up? Yes.
Managing? Also yes.
Grateful? Always.

Here’s a series of finished works from our kids during this festive stretch. Despite all the changes, they showed up, focused, and completed their pieces like champs.

Some rushed in straight from family dinners.
Some came back slightly sugar-charged.
Some needed a little extra patience.
But every canvas got done.

That’s something we’re proud of — not just the art, but the commitment.

Thank you to the parents who adjusted timings with us, trusted the process, and worked around the festive chaos together.

If you’re looking to enroll your child in a consistent, process-based art class (even during crazy festive seasons 😌), 2026 intake is ongoing.

We don’t usually take selfies with students in class, cuz we're mainly the photographer who makes sure we take the best shots of our students. And here's a rate picture that we dug out from one of our sessions.

To incorporate some fun into things during our corporate sessions, we made everyone do a selfie hunt before the session started — and somehow ended up with this chaotic collection of smiles, laughter, and slightly awkward angles 😂

Here’s the thing: When adults walk into our sessions, many haven’t touched a paintbrush in years. Some are nervous. Some think they “can’t draw.”
So we start with something simple.

Break the ice, loosen the face muscles, let everyone be on their creative thinking cap for a bit and of course, reminding everyone that this is a safe space.

And the next thing we know… strangers become teammates, participants become friends, and the fear somehow disappeared.

Whether it’s kids classes, adult sessions, or corporate workshops — we’re not just teaching techniques.

We’re building comfort. Confidence. Community.

If you’ve been thinking of joining a session, maybe this is your sign.

We noticed that some of the people who came to our studio recently haven’t touched a paintbrush in over 20 years. The last time they painted?

Probably in primary or secondary school, or perhaps the messy play they did with their kid at home.

Most common phrases we hear are, “I can’t draw, I’m not creative, the best I could work out is to draw stick mans.” A few hours later? "Daaaammmmnnnn I did this??They were surprised at themselves, and honestly, so were we.

That’s what we’ve been leaning into lately — corporate painting sessions designed around wellness, reflection, and slowing down. Not performance. Not perfection. Just space to think, create, and reconnect.

In a world that constantly demands output, sometimes what teams need most is the permission to pause.

Our corporate sessions are HRDC claimable, and we’re opening booking slots for the coming months.

If your team hasn’t picked up a brush in decades… maybe it’s time.

to our monthly Community Art Journal Jam, co-hosted with 💛

This round was extra special because we got to tag along@craftaffairmy ’s event at , Sunway Square Mall — and what a space it was. Airy, artsy, inspiring, and somehow made journaling feel even more magical.

Because of the venue, we were able to open up a few more slots — and we’re so grateful to everyone who showed up (and especially those who dragged their friends along 😌). That’s exactly the kind of community energy we love.

There’s something really comforting about seeing a group of people quietly cutting, pasting, writing, and just… being.

If you missed the last one, don’t worry, our next Art Journal Jam is happening on:
🗓 29 March 2026 (Sunday)
⏰ 2–5pm
💛 RM10/pax

Come alone or bring a friend. Both work beautifully.

to our Valentine’s Day session with the sweetest couple.

They were the only two sign-ups that night. We gave them the option to reschedule… but they chose to proceed anyway. No complaints, no fuss — just “let’s do it.” We were genuinely grateful.

They were complete beginners, but they came with intention. One painted their living room with their two kitty cats. And the other painted a couple portrait of themselves.

It wasn’t about perfection, it was about the time spent together, and the ability to be present for each other. And when the final pieces came together, you could feel it.

Moments like these remind us why we create this space — not just for art, but for connection. For slowing down. For choosing to do something together instead of just going through the motions.

May love hit all of us like a bullet train 🚄💘

And if you’re looking for a different way to spend time with your person or meeting your person… our doors are always open.
