How can we make snakebite treatment more effective and accessible for communities that need it most?

Dr Syafiq Asnawi from the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences is featured in the newly released BBC World Service People Fixing The World podcast episode. From 16:45, he shares his research on improving snakebite treatment through antivenom development.

His work explores how venomics and immunoproteomics can help better understand venom composition and improve the effectiveness of existing antivenoms, supporting more regionally relevant solutions for Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
