Co-operative College of Malaysia History

The Cooperative College of Malaysia (CCM) is the one and only cooperative education institution in Malaysia.

It was established in 1956 and through the Parliamentary Act of 1968, was legislated. Through the act, CCM was given the responsibility to provide training and education on cooperative to the country's cooperative movement. Currently, CCM has been placed as an agency under the Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Ministry. Financial Source

A major part of the CCM administrative funding is provided by Kumpulan Wang Amanah Pendidikan Koperasi (the Cooperative Education Trust Fund Group) which receives contributions from the country's cooperatives. Beginning 1969, Malaysian cooperatives were compelled to provide 2% of their net profit to this group. Address
